I think it’s awesome that Goku has very few of his own techniques. A giant, significant part of his character is his love for other people and his want to protect them, and by incorporating techniques of his friends/foes/previous masters he proves to himself, his friends, and his foes that he’s much more than just himself, he is his environment and his people.
