What an amazing tutorial! Thank you so much! Liked and subscribed!
  • 59:20 Instead of creating custom swatches with the lines, you could make the lines/abstract shape a pattern and select the option to size the pattern to the art. It behaves much better that way
  • This is the most helpful illustrator tutorial I could ever watch. You just made illustrator a whole lot easier for me. Thanks man, you rock.
  • @Elbahjaacademy
Good tutorial! Few notes: 58:52 (Use the pathfinder with the intersect option and you'll be left with the design you wanted in a square form) 1:00:41 Trim only the right and bottom edges so that you don't create white spaces when the shape repeats itself
  • At around 1:08:47, another way to round out that corner is to use the direct selection tool (A). Just select that specific anchor at the upper right, a circle with a dot in it's center will appear. Pull that circle 45 degrees downward opposite (in this case left), and it will start rounding that corner. How much roundness you want depends how far you pull the circle.

14 minutes in and this is more helpful than courses I've paid for.
  • Great tute, took me a little while to figure out I had to change my tool menu from Basic to Advanced... just in case anyone else can't find the tools you use in the beginning
  • @41peyton
This was one of the best Illustrator tutorials I've ever watched! I am a self-taught graphic designer, so I've got pockets of knowledge that allow me to do what I need to do, but I've also got quite a few gaps. This tutorial goes through all of the important tools without being exhausting. It filled a TON of gaps for me in about an hour!
  • thank you for this! ♥️ your little whistles when youre silent and breathing makes me soft 🥺
