This was four years ago, but even today, this stands as one of the best tutorial you can find over the internet.
  • @Omlet221
I keep seeing videos like “Be able to draw anything in illustrator in only 7 minutes! Be an expert in Adobe illustrator in 45 seconds!” I don’t want that, I want to actually learn. So for that, thank you for such a high quality and detailed tutorial!
  • @joshualepik
The value in this tutorial is insane! At first I was like “oh gosh, 3 hours”. But wow, the best use of 3 hours to get a really solid grasp on illustrator and I feel like I walked away with a real solid understand of a many key features!! This video is GOLD
  • Dear Dan this tutorial has seriously changed my life these three hours that I will never get back have changed my life drastically PERIOD

Anyone else feels a bit warm and fuzzy with how happy and excited Mr. Scott appears to be about working and teaching Illustrator? He just loves how that shape builder tool makes vector coloring easy.. and I'm definitely here for it.
  • I've been working on Photoshop alone for 10 years and thought that adobe illustrator would be easy, but everything was difficult even though the user interface is practically the same. This video has helped me a lot. Thank you brother!
  • @nataliefield
After one week of struggling with Illustrator, watching short tutorials, investing time into watching this workshop and following along with the exercises was way more beneficial! Thank you for making learning easy and fun!
  • @JellyMan19
Got hired as a Graphic Designer for a custom apparel business with zero experience - this tutorial is what saved me. Learned more in 3 hours than my younger brother (a graphic design major) learned in 3 years. Thank you!
  • Bro this course is actually unreal, I love how its not just a strict tutorial teaching you everything, Daniel feels like an actual human being trying to have some fun while teaching and it makes the environment so much more relax and so much more fun to learn the program
  • @MsJ-bw1ei
I like how you explain each button / command / shortcut keys and their respective effects. (not throwing a lot of commands and asking us to follow blindly without thinking). Your video is really helpful and fruitful for AI Newbie ! Thank you for your detail teaching :DD
  • You're awesome man. No gibberish and well thought out examples to get us to understand the tools and their use case. Many thanks!
  • @bradentraub
I can't believe I didn't have to pay for this. I learned SO much, thank you!
  • @mrk6254
This man is a legend, teaching lots of things just in 3 hours and still responding to the comments to THIS day! Thank you for your course, it helped lots of people! Good luck!
  • He's GREAT! I've struggled trying to find how to do this and that because I don't want to be a designer just need to sometimes make something easy or edit a file. I ended up frustrated, giving up must of time, and ready to throw my computer. I finally broke down and tood this whole course and it was worth it, even for my limited needs. Plus, he's awesome. I love his personality that comes out in the video.
  • You are the best illustrator teacher on the planet! I've watched sooo many tutorials for many weeks, only to feel as clueless and hopeless as when I'd begun, I just couldn't follow along. I had totally given up on ever understanding Adobe Illustrator, when I decided to try one more tutorial, YOURS. Hallelujah! I actually followed along with no problem and completed the exercises happily. I am truly grateful and thankful to you for sharing your knowledge and creating a priceless and very much appreciated tutorial. May you be blessed with Joy, Good Health and Abundant Prosperity.

For any one who cannot find the arc tool in their toolbar: 1. Click on the ellipse at the bottom of your toolbar 2. You'll see a window containing all your tools 3. You'll find the arc tool there 4. You can drag and drop it to your Shape tools collection for future use
