  • Charles: Happy Birthday, Camilla. I thought we'd celebrate with a quiet dinner at home tonight. Camilla: What? You never take me anywhere! Charles: I just took you to the State Opening of Parliament....

Gotta admire the man’s drip, but it sucks the taxpayers still have to pay for all of it.

They still love doing theater in the UK lol

It's interesting that the Lords, the ones with the least power, get the best seats. Where is Keir Starmer?
  • "landslide election" I don't think that means what you think it means. "Labour won 34% of total votes cast, but about 64% of the 650 seats." with the lowest voter turnout since 1928

So if he doesn’t have any real power does his words really matter?

The British monarch must be one of the most overpaid voice actors in the world. KC3 must read anything put in front of him, and he is not supposed to show approval or disapproval. Unlike QE2, we know Charles has many strong opinions. I think most of the Labour program, especially the attention to environmental protection, is pleasant reading for KC3.
  • As I grow older I can appreciate the adherence to tradition, even those I may have disagreed with in the past (assuming they’re not harmful to others).
