Matt Fradd and Fr. Vincent Lampert discuss the opening ceremony at the 2024 Olympics. How Christians should respond, why it's evil, what it means, and what it tells us about France's Culture and the Culture of the West over all.

  • O Jesus, my Savior and Redeemer, Son of the living God, behold, we kneel before Thee and offer Thee our reparation; we would make amends for all the blasphemies uttered against Thy holy name, for all the injuries done to Thee in the Blessed Sacrament, for all the irreverence shown toward Thine immaculate Virgin Mother, for all the calumnies and slanders spoken against Thy spouse, the holy Catholic Church. O Jesus, who hast said: "If you ask the Father anything in My name, He will give it to you," we pray and beseech Thee for all our brethren who are in danger of sin; shield them from every temptation to fall away from the true faith; save those who are even now standing on the brink of the abyss; to all of them give light and knowledge of the truth, courage and strength for the conflict with evil, perseverance in faith and active charity! For this do we pray, most merciful Jesus, in Thy name, unto God the Father, with whom Thou livest and reignest in the unity of the Holy Ghost world without end. Amen.

I'm a Protestant standing against this umbrella of darkness taking over the world that calls what is bad good and people who approve it for the sake of pleasing others instead of God. This is not our home, Lord Jesus we wait for your return.

Satan is a liar from the begining. I do not trust their explanations, nor their insulting apology! I pray they repent sincerely and come to our Lord.

Here in France, it seems like you cannot express your grief for this type of insult against your own religion. I said to some friends how I felt about it and I instantly got called a "transphobic and fatphobic fanatic". Religions and especially Christianity in this country are constantly spat on...
  • French here, i am also horrfied to see what happened and very sad for this, i am a Roman Catholic and felt offensed by this depiction at the olympic overture. This is very heart breaking to see how deep in aposthasy France nowaday is, when it used to be the Eldest Daughter of the Church. I am also sad to see people litteraly hating my country because of it when it is only a leftist minority who made this "show". But i pray that, just like when Peter denied Jesus three times, my poeple will come back Home, because if God himself wanted France to continue to exit, by sending St Jeanne d'Arc, it is because there is an unknown reason behind that. Please pray for France !

Our Holy Face prayer group is organizing a ‘Procession of Reparation’ from the Cathedral to the French Embassy a short walk away. We are in Ottawa, Canada. We will be holding it 3 times through the coming week. Praying for conversion of France and in Reparation to our Lord.

I spent two hours in front of the blessed sacrament earlier and I prayed the Divine Mercy prayer in response to this great sin. God bless you both!

The title of the piece was "La Cene sur une Scene sur la Seine." La Cene is the French name for the Last Supper. a Scene is a stage. La Seine is the river that goes through Paris. When they say it wasn't really meant to be the Last Supper, they are lying.

The Holy Face devotion is a powerful defense against blasphemy.

Today, we covered the opening ceremony in one of my university lectures. The lecturer opened with, "Who feels strongly about the opening ceremony?" I'm happy to say, that as a result of these kinds of videos that have been released all over since the ceremony, I could have the confidence in standing up for my faith and religion, and to have a conversation generate from it. One of the objections that were brought up was, "Christians are meant to practice tolerance." I could not help but think of Rev. Calvin's point, "tolerance and niceness are no virtues." I hope my story, as with this video, inspires us Christians to take courage and make a stand. To love the Lord our God, and to love our neighbor. Thank you, Matt, as always, for your content.
  • My Lord and Savior will not be abandoned, nor mocked and I will make my voice heard. I am boycotting the Olympics and any sponsors that supported the blasphemy of the opening ceremonies.

I prayed for the animals of France this morning, its in the Lords hands now. GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU.

The "it's a reference to Feast of the Gods painting" fails on 1 major fundamental point...that painting itself was a blasphemy when it was painted. It also gave rise to the nonsense that the Catholic Church was rebranded Greco-Roman religion. It was blasphemous because you'll note that at the table in the middle is Jesus and John the evangelist. So yes, even if you based it 100% on that painting, it is still blasphemy of Christ. Sad that the Iranians put up a vocal defense of this, but "Catholic" Joe Biden hasn't, and especially the Pope's complete silence on it is unhelpful.

I am nobody, but I was going to watch and that was my plan. My little protest is simply not watch and make it my plan instead to pray the Holy Rosary, in reparation.😢
  • @cannephillips
That was so disturbing. All we can do is speak out and pray for them.
  • @jimmorales9818
My daughter disowned me because I stand up for Christ! I have to pray for her! She has fallen into darkness.
