Its very epic that an actor can have a huge impact on the lore! Samuel Jackson himself agreed to appear in the prequels on condition that he had a purple Sabre. Which got written in the lore.

I like how he points out what other don't see, and gets called paranoid, and accused of falling to the dark side. Only for those accusers to discover he was correct the whole time. Real life parallels that people still don't see

Mace intended to strike down with great vengeance and furious anger to those that attempted to poison and destroy his brothers. Palpatine just did it first.

Mace was certainly different than other Jedi. He could channel the Dark Side without succumbing to it, and defeated Sidious where Yoda failed to.

No wonder why Mace was such a dick to Ahsoka in Season Seven. He was losing his mind and getting closer and closer to the dark side.

Except that Windu already knew, or was at least close. "I sense a plot to destroy the Jedi. The Dark Side of the Force surrounds the Chancellor." In response to this, the Council did, well, nothing! Even if Palpatine was the pawn of a Sith Lord and not the Sith Lord himself, then the Republic was already controlled by the Sith Lord. The Jedi needed to evacuate Coruscant ASAP and go someplace that Palpatine and Republic/Separatist forces could not easily find them. Jedi in the field needed to abandon it immediately and likewise retreat. They needed to operate under the assumption that the Sith Lord already had the means to attack the Jedi. But, being complacent, they continued fighting what was now obviously a gigantic false flag operation. If Windu was hasty, it was only because it was too late. The Council should have acted as soon as he gave his prophecy.

I wonder what would have happened if Windu had allowed Anakin to accompany them to see Sidious instead of having him stay at the temple…

His love for the Republic was his attachment like Obi wans attachment to Anakin it is interesting how the Jedi fell not to the dark side but the nieve attempt to preserve what the Jedi thought was order and peace was complete genocide of the galaxy

The Revenge of the Sith book was so good

Dunno driven insane or unstable so much as more corrupting leading up to the FINAL fight. Hence him FINALLY trying to use Anakin's way of doing things... OR so clearly Mace ASSUMED.. when he basically said "lets kill this MFer Anakin!!" With the "Hes too dangerous bit .." Too bad THIS happened to be the ONE TIME Anakin elected to do things the Traditional Jedi Way having ALREADY been in Mace's shoes and position LITERALLY when he had the choice an option to spare Dooku and ALSO DIDN'T. A major question MIGHT BE would Mace then Fall to the Darkside had Anakin allowed Sideous to be killed there after all which given the track record MIGHT been a real possibility assuming as narrated was for real going on

Mace knew what was up. Yoda and Obi-wan were blinded from Reality.
