My tank was so green even right after water and filter changes. I finally just got some Aqueon algae remover and it worked like a miracle. That's it it worked for me.
  • I've used UV Sterilizers or just do a water change and go dark for a few days. You're right about that not fixing the source though. If I have to do either, I'll follow it up with a shorter photo period. The balance between light, fertilizer, CO2, and water changes can take months to find for me, and it's always harder on the 10 gallon and smaller tanks. That's what I've found anyway. You guys have a great channel. Maybe the least preachy aquarist channel out there. I really enjoy your videos.

That neon green water looks kinda good, add in some ice and keep churning the water and you'll get lime slushie.

  • i just set up a 20 gallon planted tank and i didnt know abt it, thanks for tht info ill try cut the duration down before it could ever get green😳
  • I'm embarrassed saying this but.my old tank.... years back. I wasnt very good about water changes and I had a ton of algae... i added algae remover... the fish would go.to.the top for air when i added it... it worked the one time but after that i was too afraid to add it again because of how my fish reacted the previous time.... and again it all boiled down to the lights and me not doing regular water changes. I also had the lights on all day at the time.
