Women’s Basketball needs Caitlin Clark more than she needs Women’s Basketball, nobody will wake up at 3am to watch women play basketball, people will wake up at 3am to watch Caitlin Clark.
  • That's why we start watching NCAA women basketball and now WNBA because of Caitlin Clark #22 ❤🏀 from the Philippines 🇵🇭
  • I don't even watch the welfarenba before until I've seen Caitlin Clark play, with love from the Philippines ❤❤❤

No one is going to watch women's Olympic basketball (as has been true in the past) unless Clark is on the team. The Olympic committee, like the WNBA needs to get their heads out of their ass....and like the NFL market the players who actually put butts in the seats.
  • @Woelch
With her experience in U16 and U19 (if I got it right) and her skillset, she deserves a spot IMHO
  • @nbt1420
WTF is the issue here??? This woman has the skillset, she has the international experience from her younger days and she is the most talented young player at this time!!! Why the fuck, would you not have this woman on the team??? Is it because Taurasi and the rest of the alphabet squad whining about their entitlements and how it's dwindling:face-purple-crying:??? Lame:face-fuchsia-tongue-out:!!!
  • She will be on it,they dont want to struggle or lose after excluding her out of jealousy.
  • i think it's rediculous 40 year old pro players are on our olympic squads. They had their turns.
  • @jjohnson3203
No brainer. They have to capitalize on the eyes she brings. Good for the team, the W, the USA and the network carrying the Olympics.
  • @pgc2455
Of course she will be on the US Olympic team. We live in Caitlin Clark's World.
  • The WNBA needs to make sure both Clark and Reese have spots on the Olympic team. Its about marketing. The WNBA finally have 2 players 1 white and 1 black who have massive following. They will never have this again. Who cares if the older players are offended. Its about growing the League as a whole.
  • Taurasi being on the team is what is unfair. Boot out these legacy players that already have 2-3 Olympic appearances.
  • Christian Laettner was not anywhere near the level of his NBA teammates when he was selected for the 1992 Olympic team. Caitlin is much closer in caliber if not equal to the level of the pro women who will be joining. I agree with the comment that you have women in their late thirties and early forties who have had their turn and are just around for nostalgia. Cailtin has more than the talent to be chosen but there are a million marketing reasons why she will be chosen. I expect she will start the season strong but it will be interesting if other teams go overboard in trying to keep her performance down. Lastly, she could easily be the leader in assists as season end, and with the Olympic team. She is not one dimensional.
  • She was playing better than a camp. Absolutely she should be on the team.
  • @amanrush7722
That's like telling Taylor Swift to audition for a concert.
  • She deserves to be on the team . Her shooting ability is evident .. what many don’t realize is her tremendous court sense and passing ability . She makes everyone around her better . Think it’s a no brainer to have her on the team . Never watched the WNBA before ( not sure how many games are telecast ) but intend to now !
  • When a player has broken as many records as Caitlin Clark has broken, it would either be insanity or racism that would keep her off the Olympic team.
  • @shoofly529
The commercial sponsors want CC on the team. Enough said. A lot & I mean a lot more eyes would watch Olympic women's basketball if CC is on the team. As with almost everything in the news, follow the $$.
  • Let them try not to put Caitlin Clark in the line up,let those so-called greats play,we'll see the results
  • @jmbelarmin
Yeah it used to be Olympics was known for amateur athletes. Since the Dream Team, Olympic basketball has become synonymous to NBA/pro players. So for someone to say that these pro athletes is the status quo should go back further to the history of the Olympics.
