Great story I was so afraid Coy would save Eli and lose his own life. Glad both were safe!

Great story. Coy sure earned the right to stay with the family. ❤
  • Thank Goodness Eli's father let him keep that dog. Almost every dog that we have owned was an unwanted mongrel. Many of them were not pretty to look at. Some of them had been treated very badly before they were dumped. One of them was to be euthanized at a dog pound; but, my youngest brother paid for him and brought him home. Mom always said, "My dogs are my eyes and ears." Mom lived independently until she was 91 years old. As she kept getting older, her dogs stayed close to her. They followed her everywhere she went at the old home place. Are there dogs and cats in Heaven? I don't think it would be Heaven without them. When you have a pet (or pets) you are never alone; and, if it is a rescued dog or cat it may become your best friend for the rest of its life.

Great story!!! There are true lifesaving dogs out there, and we don't hear about them enough. Their senses are beyond a doubt magical, and true loyalty is mind blowing.

Thank you for the story! I was in the edge of my seat, heart pounding. I have a young son and a dog who loves him and would give everything he had just like Coy.
