  • Thank you for making these videos!! I was completely clueless about which printer to choose, and you watching your videos made me decide!! Thank you!
  • @briancmagill
This is by far the most in depth guide I have seen on these Epson ecotank printers. Thank you for all the research you did and for really helping me make a smart decision on which ecotank to buy. I went with the 4850. Thanks again!
  • Just bought a 16650 and so far am very happy with it. Required the large format printing. One thing I would appreciate in your reviews is the weight of paper they will handle and also what the standard minimum margin settings. It took me some time to find this info and even the rep I talked to at Epson was unable to provide.

I believe that the ADF 1-side to 2-side means it will scan 1 side of the document only, but output it to a 2 sided document. If you want to scan 2 sided then you need to manually flip the pages.
  • Good video! Can you please explain the difference between an Epson Workforce Super Tank and an Eco tank? Do you review the WF C2100 printer? Is it an older model to the ET 2850 or 3850?
  • @GmanfromTexas
Thanks, You answered a lot of my questions with your video. I'm looking for a printer for my head shot business which requires on location, on the spot printing. Although the 8500 is somewhat slow I think it will work for me.
  • @So_called-v1j
Hell yeah you should i bought the 2650 probably the first one from sams club for $180 and i havent used the refil i bought with it that was 5 or 6 years ago. by far the best printer purchase ever, period.
  • I have an epson ecotank printer . I hav had it for about a year. I got 13,ooo pages out of the ink that came with it. Still have plenty of ink left in first bottles purchased at 16,000 copies. I just bought the 4850 because I wanted doc feeder. Giving the 2760 to my daughter.
  • Epson ET-4750 I bought mine in 2014 and still working fine :) needs attention occasionally ,cleaning the printer heads easy enough to do. what you save in INK! it pays for itself
  • Hello! You really covered a lot in this video, and also in the model 3850 video! You answered a lot of questions that I had and I really appreciate that!. We're debating between the 3850 and 4850, trying to decide whether we need the fax capability. Here are a few questions for you. I want to verify that both models can handle card stock. Weights are not mentioned in the specifications, and you did mention that they can, but please verify for both models. Also, will they both handle acetate (transparencies). I really need that capability. Then finally, the specs on both state that they scan to computer and cloud. Does that require an additional cable, or not? Then, the 4850 can scan to a memory device, so is there a USB port on that model? Your help is greatly appreciated, and I'm sure I'll be back to your channel for more info!
  • I just purchased a Epsom Eco Tank 4850 printer and I find that the colors are not vibrant (the colors are dull, except for the black), even when I choose the high quality setting on the printer settings. I'm not sure why it does this, is this common or do I need to send it back? I have a 100 5 year old HP printer and it prints a lot better quality than my new Eco Tank 4850. Any tips or thoughts, I would appreciate the help before I have to send it back. Thanks

Hi, thank you for your videos. I appreciate all the information. I’m looking into the 3850 currently and worried about the maintenance box I saw in other reviews with the eco tank line up in the past. If/when it gets to that end of life point, where might I be able to purchase a maintenance box and is it easy to do the replacement myself (just unscrew, etc.). I’m not very techy and handy but can manage unscrewing stuff and follow instructions. Would you be able to do a vid on the maintenance box (how to change, where to get if easily accessible, what it looks like, etc.)? Again, thank you 🙏🏼 .
  • I just ordered the Epson w/ adf - 3850 - hope it meets the reviews on especially ink savings - and the quality of printing . Thank you for your reviews on these printer , it certainly helps us the consumer .
  • @Sch00lbu5
I need a paper fed for labels, heavier photo paper - none of these printers have a rear paper feed for paper you don't want to curl? Card stock can mean many things. How about Avery labels?
  • This is very good information for me. This is the direction I will go. For many years I have used HP printers. They are very expensive to use and are not reliable at all.
  • In the manual of ET3830, the ink says 502 series. Can we use the 512 and the 522 series?
  • I still enjoy making personalized music and movie discs and I love the feature which allows me to print my original designs straight on the discs with printable surfaces! But the old Epson printer I’m currently using for this task does not have a maintenance tank. It will reach the end of its service life one day. Does the ET 3850 have the feature to print on optical discs with a printable label surface? Does Epson even still make printers that print on optical discs?
  • Great review. You mention in your video that the 3850 includes a touch screen but according to Epson’s website it doesn’t?
  • @louisd95714
Not sure if I am misreading any information or not understanding, but from what I am gathering across various sites, the ET 4850 cannot duplex copies and FAXs. I believe in order to copy and FAX both sides, the pages will have to be manually flipped over.

Costco is currently having a sale on the ET 2850 for $199.99. Sale ends on 2/25/24. This includes one additional bottle of black ink (you get two bottles of black) with the other colors.
