Having Carlos in the finale was one of the highlights of the movie for me. He calls him a warrior because Gideon (the name of his son that miscarried and was never born) means warrior. John blames himself for not being able to save his son, where as here he sees Gideon in Carlos and is willing to die to save him. And in return, Carlos voluntarily pulls the lever and takes some of the pain despite John's pleading, thus saving John's life in return and they both get to live.

I can't get over the eye trap soundtrack, that and the editing was insane. The way it comes about and what happens after it makes it one of the coolest trap sequences in the franchise for me despite it being tame.

1:41:33 - John waking up, eyes closed and drenched in blood (HUGE callback to the original Saw ending) 1:41:55 - Carlos’s shocked expression matches Adam’s in the original, except he’s probably relieved here (another callback but different) I IMMEDIATELY noticed this on my first watch 🥲

i just watched it. never disappoints me. gives me goosebumps everytime the revelation sound track starts playing. bringing the SAW magic back. 💀 10/10. Love the mid credits too!!

Can we talk about the fact that Tobin bell is 81 now so he was about 79-80 while they were making this movie? Man’s a beast. and the theme starting when Cecilia and Parker end up in their real trap 🔥🔥

Saw is BACK! I saw it twice in 72 hours, now have covid, but once i'm well i'm planning to see it again. Everything about this was exceptional. So much emotion and so many layers. Particularly blown away by Synnove Macody Lund. A great new villain for the franchise.

This was much better than spiral. That movie was an insult to the saw franchise. I love it. It brings back so many good memories of how saw movies used to be back in the day. And seing detective Hoffman again was crazy!
