Harris: Two-State Solution Is Only Path Forward

Vice President Kamala Harris said she pressed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to accept a cease-fire and warned him about the civilian death toll in Gaza during a meeting. After the meeting, Harris told reporters that the only path forward is a two-state solution.  Bloomberg News' Vonnie Quinn and Dan Williams discuss with Joumanna Bercetche on Horizons Middle East & Africa.

    Ok, I think I finally get it now : A 'Two-State Solution' isn't about Israel coinhabiting alongside the Palestinians (whoever those are), but rather about the United States adding one or two extra states to itself. At least, that title juxtaposed onto that thumbnail make it hard not to conceive of that. But please correct me if I'm wrong.

    the two-state solution demonstrates the ignorance of VP Harris on the historical reality of the Israel situation. Definitely doesn't make me confident in her ability to lead the country.

    It’s disheartening to see that people on BOTH sides of this issue are upset with Harris for this approach. Folks, we got a lot of issues that need taking care of here at home.. I say a neutral take is imperative, so that we can take stock of ourselves and rebuild. There are holes in the walls that we’re ignoring, and those holes can’t be patched so long as we’re solving the world’s problems. 100 million to Israel a day has got to stop.. but I wouldn’t want to see that money go to Hamas either. Let them negotiate a two state solution while we fix our home.
