It was a no brainer for us to cover Wake Me Up by Avicii. Not only is it one of the biggest songs of the last decade, but even without that, it's simply 😏 an awesome song. One challenge for us was how to convey the energy that Avicii's recording has. We don’t know about you all, but we always felt like this song had a kind of country, fiddle, grassroots feeling to it, despite all of the DJ/electronic sounds you hear. So we decided to give it even more of a country feel and really play this song in a fiddle style. Maybe it's the slap-bass Nick does, or the fiddle chords Zack plays - or maybe it's just playing the song on our string instruments that gives it the country feel. Either way, this arrangement of ours has hit the hearts of people all over the world, and we couldn't be more grateful. This is our most viewed music video, and for a long time we didn’t really know why. I don’t think we still know fully, honestly, but many people have told us that the happiness of the song and the beauty of the location makes this video energetic, happy, and beautiful. We filmed it at Saguaro Lake (Butcher Jones Recreation Site to be exact) in Arizona. We have been going to this lake for fun outings our entire lives. Many fond memories have been gained here, and it was awesome to shoot this life-changing video here! Thanks for all your incredible support.

数年前に体調不良で 病院に行っても原因不明で 薬も合うものがなくて、身体中の痛みをどうする事もできず、椅子に座って夜をあかしていましたが、偶然に聞いたこの弦楽器の演奏に感動して涙が流れました🎉 毎日 何十回も繰返し聴きながら、身体に力が入り、動けるようになりました🌸 今も感謝で一杯です😂

I completely forgot about this. I watched it just a couple months after it came out. Damn, has it really been that long? Still absolutely amazing. And now so much older, I can appreciate it more. And such a legendary song. I miss this age of youtube, where everybody was just making sick songs and covers and having a blast.

I remember watching this is my 6th grade orchestra class around the time it came out and it really pushed me to stay in the class. anyway I'm about to be a senior in highschool and listening to this is bringing back so many fond memories (and I'm still in my highschool orchestra)
