Every year, on a Saturday in June, the Monarch of the United Kingdom celebrates their official birthday with a big military parade, a 41-gun salute, and an RAF flypast by the Red Arrows over Buckingham Palace.
But why does the British Sovereign always celebrate their birthday in June?

Thank you for showing us what is going on during the ceremony. I so enjoy knowing the history of Great Britain. We don’t get the details in our Canadian schools unless that is what one chooses to study. The kids on the balcony is my favourite part,,I’d forgotten about William as a youngster with his cousins.
