Does anyone else find it extremely disturbing how coordinated politicians and mainstream media are on the use of phrases and buzzwords?

“Racial reckoning” is right up there with, “our thoughts and prayers” Trite and hollow

Omg, that 'what kind of fucking candy do you eat' had me wheezing
  • "Racial reckoning" When every news organization repeats the same exact line it makes me wonder if one person writes the script for all of them.
  • 10:52 "Before we could afford to ignore the hopelessness represented by gangs. But now we're afraid that may affect OUR schools OUR kids OUR streets." this quote says it all
  • The fact that all of these media outlets literally are reading the same scripted terms should tell people something.
  • 8:21 When Frederick Douglass returned to the US, someone noted that he would be back in time for the 4th of July festivities. When invited to join the celebrations, he declined noting that it wasn’t his Independence Day.

It's amazing how all those news networks use the exact same phrase...

150 years later and we are still voting for the same two political parties and expecting change. I am one of the last white boys named Jerome. When I returned east from Co. in the early 90s, I was sending out resumes and getting no responses. I was a class A machinist/CNC programmer with good qualifications and references? Finally I decided to change Jerome to Jerry and voila, it was like magic.

"We have got to talk about it," she says as she actively shuts down conversation about it. Lady, a dialogue has two people talking. A monologue has one.

People should know more about James Baldwin. Such an eloquent speaker. His speech, at Oxford I believe, was so captivating you could hear a pin drop.

Jon should have never stopped making this kind of content. I missed hearing him hold everyone's feet to the flames.

A few days ago in Queens, a 68 year old white grandmother was pushed down the stairs outside her church. The perpetrator, Jayvaun Prince, 16, proceeded to steal her purse and her car. This is totally normal and unsurprising

My family is half black and half white,we all love each other very much. We have many black and white friends. We were raised to not be prejudice. We even have Asian people in our family. I can’t stand a racist.
