I love that Kevin can deliver lines like "this is a notable moment in Wiggles' lore" completely stone faced
  • @splonk1341
"Nothing makes one face their own mortality more than being a Wiggle" is the rawest line I've heard in my entire life.
  • “But the saxophone playing fish does move back and forth. Which is great.” Took me out. I’m obsessed with his dry humor

21:24 the muted audio as the lifeless puppet of Wags slowly descending from the shadows until the silence is broken by yet another Toot Toot Chugga Chugga Big Red Car is pure gold
  • @alexbramley195
I had just presumed the wiggles were just a bunch of random actors that were hired for a childrens tv show. Mad respect that these guys started this because they wanted too and not because they were forced to for a paycheck.
  • @DoctorStarky
Their commitment to keeping the ride lore accurate even as it becomes progressively shittier is so funny but also kind of admirable.
  • @TrashMarineMusic
"Which is a shame, because The Wiggles have four different songs about saying goodbye" Frankly, thats the best joke in this entire video
  • @Noxedwin
Kevin's overuse of Toot toot, chugga chugga, Big Red Car is always funny. It gives us a little peek into the maddening lives of the park attendants who have to sit outside and listen to it every three minutes, day after day after day. You could not pitch me a more convincing Hell.
  • As an Aussie and born in 1994, I grew up in the peak Wiggles era. They did an 18+ (aus drinking age) tour in Syd a few years back and toured all the local RSLs. Tickets sold out in 30 secs. Literally a bunch of grown adults a bit drunk singing ‘toot toot chugga chugga big red car’ at the top of our lungs. Iconic.

I can't describe how much I appreciate the deadpan delivery of the phrase "Wiggles lore" every several minutes
  • @sidhackney8831
"This level of wiggling was simply not sustainable" is by far my favorite line in this video
  • Man, even in recent footage of Anthony with all the new wiggles members, you can just see in his eyes how much fun he’s having, how much he enjoys what he does. I’m glad at least one of them has been able to stay on to instill the band’s original energy to the next generation of cast members.

the ride only moving at 1 mile per hour is one of the funniest things i've ever heard and it genuinely sounds like it could be a gag in a sitcom or something
  • @urarakaochako6230
“In 1974, Longhurst purchased [210 acres] of land, 10 miles from the Gold Coast, per God’s suggestion.” one of the sentences of all time
  • @party4lifedude
Just imagine how creepy it would be to explore an abandoned Big Red Car ride and you go to the kitchen and all the drawers and cabinets and doors start opening and closing by themselves.
  • @limitbreak2966
35:08 life lesson: if a park cannot be trusted to even upkeep simple lights in a dark ride, you cannot trust them to keep you safe in more potentially dangerous rides
  • @ItsDesca
The wiggles origin story is actually surprisingly sweet, dudes just wanted to make some good kids content. I'd always heard about the wiggles band members leaving in passing and assumed that they'd gotten laid off for being too old or something, but the fact that they performed for kids for so many years and eventually had to leave because of health issues is something I did not expect, good for them.
  • @hbb4202
hearing the phrase “wiggles lore” over and over and realising every single time that I do in fact know the wiggles lore was kind of a humbling experience
  • @marleew6455
Everyone laughed at me for taking my two year old to see the wiggles concert 16 years ago, saying he’d never remember it. Well I still do as one of the best concerts I’ve ever seen. High energy, fun and as a stay at home mom back then, I knew every song.😂❤

Kevin Perjurer might be the only person who could make me care about a dark ride for children based on a band I don't listen to in a country where I've never been. Hats off.
