Greetings Hill, That CCC of yours is a genuine beauty. Congratulations. Upon viewing the photos of the straps crushing the chine at the forum thread; a previous transporter recommended "L" brackets be constructed and placed under the straps prior to haulout/splash. They were well experienced transporting wooden boats and currently own as well. The "L" brace effectively spreading the load out beyond the straps. Maybe with a rope tied to a cleat for retrieval. One at each chine at each strap and one at the juncture of the topsides and deck. Of course rotted wood is rotted wood but all the weight on those few, what 12" width straps, the finest of structure could risk compromise. Also, the blocking on the keel is limited on your boat. As an extra measure of caution; blocks, blocks and more blocks with a plank on top, then your keel. Hopefully you will be fine as is. We have found the yards will handle a wooden boat similar to fiberglass. Can recall spending two days setting up a spot in the boatyard for time on the hard. Level this, level that, all the best blocks, etc. A long winded comment, I know. There is no way I'm posting on that forum. All the best
