I had just joined the Marine Corps and being a black dude it was strange at that time to see someone like me jamming to this but I was always ahead of time when it came to music. And this just set me into a zone I didn't want to go out of. i saw them in 1980 at a bar in south carolina.after i was 18 and fresh out of marine corp boot camp.they finished there first set hughie says to me hey kid grab me a bud and get yourself a beer.i talked to him about 15 mins, he gave me a guitar stand and thanked me for defending our country, how cool was that!!!! never forgot what a great guy he was im 60 now. those were the days not like now.my turn thank you hughie!!!!! RIP
