  • I’m very happy to see the back and forth between cpu manufacturers
  • @AokiZERO
This is so healthy for the market seeing two companies stepping up their games. We are the winners guys.
  • Just picked up an AMD 7950 over the Black Friday/Cyber Monday weekend. The prices were brought down to even with Intel BUT microcenter had a deal where they gave me 2x16 DDR5-6000 Ram for free with my processer purchase plus another $20 off when I bought the motherboard at the same time. Insane deals!
  • @Zythria
I am likely not going to go Intel; but seeing this makes me happy. Seeing Intel is actually seeing AMD as a threat and making strong improvements as well as being cheaper, really ups the game of CPU companion, which drive price to performance closer. (Cost cheaper but improves are better) so everyone wins.

Good to see that intel is finally coming back around to offer competitive products @ enticing price points. The only sad part is economy has gone down to literal hell and my purchasing power ain't what it used to be.
  • @JosheyG34
Jay, I really wish you would benchmark these CPUs in some sort of engineering software. A quick CFD run or an FEA solver on a semi complex geometry would be absolutely amazing!
  • @OscarSved
In my mind there is huge value in that this is the first gen am5 cpus and that you could reuse both MB and RAM for future upgrades. While on Intel it seems that we are getting a new socket with next gen (14th). That's worth alot, for me atleast :)
  • @AcidicThought
Excited to see how gaming performance changes for AMD with the X3D models. The 5800X3D was pretty darn nifty.
  • @AndrewTyler
I love the music you chose when showing benchmark scores. there was a short time where you weren't using it and Im glad its back
  • Great video Jay. Love the discussion and explanation per slide of results. Consistent and clear testing methodology. The results you achieved make sense. Can't say the same about LTT's video. They are making a lot of errors as of late and really confuses things. Though glad I look at multiple reviews as a rule of thumb.
  • Compared to last generation, regardless of which on wins, they're both giving insane numbers.
  • @badazzspecv
As others have mentioned, I like the back-and-forth between Team Red and Team Blue, and either would be a solid system if you have the funds to do so. One thing to consider if you upgrade each generation is the longevity of the 7000 series and 13th Gen platforms. AMD didn’t make any promises on AM5 but did hint it should be around for several years like AM4. Intel's 13th Gen LGA 1700 will be replaced with another platform change to LGA 1851 when 14th Gen is released next year.
  • ah, lets explain it, then. DDR4/DDR5 why some would like to have a choice, DDR5 is niche and marginal upgrade in a MAJORITY of applications, and hardly for gaming, or hardly noticeable. What IS noticeable? The upgrade in CPU, what isn't? The RAM. The reason why it doesn't make sense to you is easy. We actually have to PAY for our motherboards and RAM. You don't.

This is great news to be honest! This indicates competition is strong. Ive generally been an AMD builder, but that has generally been due to price to performance. I believe Ryzen kicked Intel in head, to realize that we can't stay complacent. For me, AM5 and Intel gen13 of no interest due to Ram costs. I am waiting for 58003D to hit the 200 mark and I will swap 3700x chip out, and move that chip down to my kids R3
  • @bradkman
How does the Intel system feel in general? What I mean by that is in your previous videos on the new AMD platform, you stated that it feels extremely fast - everything loads up instantly, etc. Does the Intel system feel/perform similarly?
  • @SpiritHealer1
Have a 10900k and I would definitely upgrade to this if I needed too. I will probably cheap out a little longer for ddr5 prices to drop hopefully by the time the 14900k launches.
  • @einstijn138
Amazing to see how close it is now I would have love to see it compared to the 5800X3D as well just to get a rough idea of what 7000X3D chips could bring
  • @moltonlava12
I purchased the Ryzen 9 7900X on the day it released, and coming from an i7 8700, I'm blown away. I'm in love with this build. I purchased it partially because I love an underdog story and I love what AMD's doing right now, partially because I just needed a big upgrade, and also because it's not Intel lmao however, seeing Intel come back like this is nothing but exciting, because this heavy of competition is only going to be good for the consumers. Super competitive prices while trying to beat the other team's performance? Yes please! Now we just have to hope the GPU market livens up soon!

Thank you - your video is amazing. You have explained the configuration settings in BIOS etc making your videos more interesting. I had viewed your other videos and thanks
