I snagged this incredibly rusty 1968 Cutlass for $500 from a car lot that closed. It was traded in 33 years ago and abandoned, just waiting for a sucker like me to try to fix it...

Dalton consistently puts out quality content and only does it after working all day and and on the weekends. I can't wait until he's able to devote all his time. He already does better than most youtube channels that are full time.

Honestly this might be one of the best engine revivals yet, You really got a chance to hear the engine catch up and get better when you finally got it to run
  • Definitely, this car was in a major water event of severe magnitude. It has many salvageable parts that would bring a good return on your investment. Hard to believe this car is over 50 years old and still runs and drives despite all the erosion. I hope you find another 68 and utilize the parts to build a real roadworthy Cutlass.

As someone who collects antiques , I laughed my ass off over those oil cans. And you are correct, there are some elitist collectors (every hobby has them) crying over it.
  • @Hederbomb
Are you sure the car wasn't last registered in Atlantis? There's so much rust that it almost looks like a flood salvage car. The thing not snapping in half once it starts moving is impressive to say the least:face-green-smiling:. Great work!
  • We had to put our cat down last night. 14 years old, best Kitty ever. I was completely crushed. The Cutlass episode really cheered me up this morning. Thanks Dalton!👍
  • @Carfreak200.
I cannot wait for you to become a full time YouTuber. The content is gonna go through the roof. Idk how you do what you do while working a 9 to 5 as well!
  • Side note, you should see the horn relay on my ‘70 - everything is hooked to it. The stereo and inverter I added, the extra lights, the space shuttle, everything. Except the horn. That didn’t work, so it’s on a separate relay inside.

Dude, the dirt uni-brow🤣was killing me.

You know i really appreciate the concourse grade numbers matching restoration with period correct oil even. It's the level of excellence i enjoy in this channel. It really is the best year Cutlass and model to have. An impressive specimen, yes.

Swear you’re the only true revival channel on YouTube now. You show the struggles of getting junk running that a lot of other channels leave out. Keep up the awesome work!!

“…The prisoner that stamped this out- We thank you for your service…”. 😂
  • @brucebeaver6929
only 1 thing that you left out with the 15 min oil change segment - take 5 minutes telling and showing everyone how to put the date you changed the oil.

The '68 Cutlass, especially the 442 is my one and only Holy Grail! Unfortunately, the only ones I find that I can afford, if any, are in this condition. When I first saw you get this one I was so excited! Thanks for giving me at least a small glimmer of hope. May she rest in piece.....after you savage her of course!
  • @DarkFlamage
Shame it's so far gone. Body looked good from the drivers side view.

Oldsmobile Rustless, the salt brine really cuts down on GM over engineering on things people call "safety" "floors" or "frames" for more important things like off-road performance and giving back to nature. Some say "Oh but that's a fire hazard" no it's called burning rubber with the coveted two speed transmission, also known as fast and faster. Awesome video as usual Dalton, tons of good moments in this one. Can't wait to see how the lemans goes
  • @bryandraughn9830
The 2 speed will allow you to break em loose at 35 mph. But not much else. Great stuff man! Now I want a Cutlass.
  • It would be cool to deck out the interior of the Holey Goat with all the parts you can use Including factory A/C dash etc. Use the glass if possible but leave the outside as is but plug the bullet holes from the inside so you can stay warm and cool😂
  • @SCHockeyGuy83
Call this thing the Tetnis Shot Cutlass lol. This video was a ton of fun to watch man!
  • @kirkstruik6118
I just wanna say, I appreciate how you keep working a real job, and doing car stuff on the side. It’s relatable, just like most of us have to. Thank you.
