This 1977 Ford LTD was sitting for nearly 3 decades before I got it with the intent of filming a short 1970s car chase film with it. Before we can do that, we have to make it run and drive again and paint it DIY-style to look like a real taxicab.

You are like the patron saint for all of us out here that belong to the "I don't give a fuck" club....thanks for being who you are and doing what you do.
  • @rocktoonzz
The fact that Jess not only tolerates your shenanigans but actively participates is amazing, she's a total keeper! Merry Christmas!
  • @yamahjett
I love how he just took his own gate out for this production...Can't get any more genuine and dedicated than that!
  • @tomrowe7534
Your accent is incredible. At the end you went from a Soprano, to the Terminator, to Huggie Bear in rapid succession, a true gift. I can’t wait for the feature. Happy New Year Dalton Gang
  • @afleticwork
Man it took hitting the gate way better than i expected
  • @KyleSevenoaks
I'm a film director and think it'd be fun as all hell to come film some crazy taxi chases with you guys. Can't wait to see the results!
  • He rips the emblem off of the headlight “oh shit” proceeds to just shove it back on 😂🤣🤣🤠
  • @HANDBANANNA
That is an ULTRA highly spec'd ol' LTD. Good on you for saving her. Sorta...
  • @diggah
Man JD is so tall now. Reaching into the air cleaner is now no problem. Happy Christmas to you and your clan good sir.

Merry Christmas to you and, Jess, and JD. I admit, this had to be one of the funnier ones you've done. People should watch these because this is serious gold. You're not a restorer so much as a "see if I can make it run until it dies" kind of guy. I think the paint was worth more than the car! Keep it up and I'll still watch your videos. Multiple times.

I gotta say you nailed it with with that taxi scene! I still kinda remember the 70's, and that's what those films were like. The NY/NJ accents (because it's a cab), the quick one liners and two liners - "my begonias!" "My wipers are on the fritz!" "They said you were a 5 star drivah!......"I was. At the demolition duby!" That was fun, can't wait to see the movie!

Dalton - It's great to see you teaching JD this and that, lessons he gets not for the sake of making content but as bonus of it, Knowing how to do rudimentary troubleshooting will help him excel in any career.
  • @chasebh89
Merry Christmas to you guys!! The cab company is bound to make dollars with that kind of driving 👌👌
  • @josephpaul7217
You guys are seriously on another level for comedy. This is the best authentic wholesome car content out there right now hands down. Out of the 100 plus channels i subscribe to this is by far my favourite. Can’t get enough of this stuff
  • @bradcrossman5068
I love JD's nervous smile during the test ride. Part of him is having a good time while the other half isn't sure what's going to happen next.
  • @claztube
Jess was hilarious as a passenger back there, she really got into character. Not sure here, just spit balling now, but you must have the most chill Sheriff anywhere that looks the other way and leaves you to your own de-vices. I must say the antics are pure fun behind the wheel like we all recall when we look back at our irresponsible youth. Damn we had fun back then. '1vmxracer here said it best Dalton and clan, thanks for starting and letting us join the 'I don't give a flying ef club' 🖕it, just ef it all, have a merry new year and happy christmas.

I'm not normally a fan of "long" youtube videos, but I really appreciate videos where a project begins/ends in the same video. You always do a great job with editing and storytelling to make a longer video move along at good clip. I don't have the attention span or patience for long drawn out multi video projects. Keep up the good work man!

My dad had a '72 T-Bird with a 460. When something in the ignition switch would no longer trigger the starter, he rigged up a wall switch that was conveniently in his toolbox (and probably scavanged for free). Flip on, flip off. Now that's budget.

The addition of JD and Jessie to the channel has brought it up along way. Hearing their comments and opinions of the professional work done on these classics makes the videos. Great video keep them coming.
