So you aren't very familiar with Fire Emblem is what you said in another comment? Then I just want to ask: Which particular Youtube upload of Apex of the World have you been listening to for this cover? I get the sneaking suspicion that it was the version uploaded by Helping Hands, in which case I regret to inform you that that is not actually the real song. In reality, there is two versions, called Rain and Thunder, which the game dynamically switches between depending on what's happening in the game. The Rain version is the one that I'd recommend as it stands well on its own. Helping Hands has instead uploaded a weird mix that jumps between the different versions, which is why there is a lot of very sudden changes in precussion and instrumentation. Just wanted to let you know.
