Supercross Rewind Chad Reed & Ricky Carmichael

Published 2018-08-07
Monster Energy® AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship, is the most competitive and highest-profile off-road motorcycle racing championship on the planet. Over 17 weeks between January through May and a million-dollar All-Star Race, Supercross attracts some of the largest and most impressive crowds inside the most recognizable and prestigious stadiums in North America to race in front of nearly one million live fans and broadcast to millions more worldwide. The track takes all the exciting obstacles of outdoor riding—jumps, turns, and bumps—amplifies them, and puts them in easy view of spectators.

Founded in America and sanctioned by the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) in 1974, Supercross is currently co-sanctioned by the Federation Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM), the official global governing body for motorcycle racing, thus making it a formal World Championship.

  • In my opinion this was the best era of supercross and motocross no time like those times again
  • @equanox100
I bet it smelled good in there! Them 2 strokes
  • The amount of respect these two had racing each other like that was cool to watch
  • would rather re wAtch many great races with great legends like these than any current. 90s and 2000s were the golden era
  • @lg8188
Reed is the man. Must respect because he is still out there racing and enjoying himself. I remember seeing him race as a 15yr old in Australia and it was crazy.
  • @ClummzyDummzy
Is it just me or do these tracks look so much better than the ones we have now of days.
  • @sicmic
I loved this time in Supercross. And then the RC, JS and Reed battles. They were just such a massive class above the rest.
  • @Sulley1562
Awesome race! Miss the old days watching RC CR and even JS duking it out on the track.
  • @marcissobadass
That was some good motocross! Chad Reed is still in there doing it every weekend with all the young whippersnappers. You have to give some serious respect to that guy, for his determination. He is one of the greatest of all time too. We all know Ricky is too.
  • @TheBowie7
Never knew until this that Chad did straight up beat RC with neither of them crashing out. Respect
  • @tec61
