I owe a lot to dirt cheap smartphones. A cheap smart phone helped my get my life back on track after I left my 12 year job at McDonald's in 2016 and got caught up in temp agency jobs and was evicted from my apartment with a baby on the way. $9.25 an hour working a kitchen, living in a 600 sq ft apartment to my grandparents basement with an aging car to $30 an hour, sitting on a forklift all day, back in my own place with my son and more things considered a luxuries than I ever had growing up. Learning to be independent again after everything fell apart all started with a $20 TracFone ZTE Citrine. I used a Motorola G 5G 2022 model for a couple years. Good phone.

Nice little thing to know with most of these kinds of smartphones: It's possible to prevent the phone from installing random apps without your consent by disabling "Mobile services manager" (sometimes also called "DT Ignite") in the apps list under settings. Sometimes it's under "system apps" so look there if you don't see it. You may also force disable it using ADB but I haven't had to do that.

fun fact: the Moto G Go technically doesn't exist. it's just a carrier brand-name for the Moto G Pure, a phone which was released in *2021*.

Proud Motorola user here🙌 I got a Moto G73 5G, intermediate phone with really good specs, 8gb of ram, 128g internal with a expansion slot and the spectacular 120hz screen

I think you should be able to flash a unlocked version of the factory firmware on these phones. Here in estern Europe it used to be common practice to buy carrier locked phones, flash non locked firmware and sell them for a profit.

in europe simlock and this in general is illegal

There's a tendency for weird things to happen at local dollar stores... Some folks don't like average Americans getting good deals. Boost mobile has a $60 unlimited plan with the newest iPhone every year. I really like the newest flagship rugged phones with like 20000 mAh + 32GB ram and other fun features for less than $600.

What I do to activate Verizon phones is I have a few old activated Verizon SIM cards and when I put them in it activates the phone

Fellow Motorola Moto Edge 30 user here~ I bought this for around $105 brand new and for its price, it is definitely worth using as a work/2FA phone. Dual 5G SIM support, decent battery life, NFC, good enough camera system, fast charging~

Can you enable usb debugging on these devices? If yes, cant you easily delete the apps through adb/put a custom rom on it?
  • @AngelaInik

  • @gamrroyale5928
I wanted to ask something can you make a video on your phone collection
  • You can active the 1st moto the only thing that you have it's not put the preload sin card and you can't unlock all the phone that you buy today
  • @Heidegaff
Simlocking phones is illegal here in the EU, once again I'm glad I'm not an US citizen
