SpaceX's new Super Heavy Booster Bidet might be the perfect solution to prevent Starship from destroying the Launch Pad!

In this deep dive investigation we will examine everything you could possibly want to know about how this system is designed, and more importantly - how its intended to work. This is not a magical force field designed to cancel out the forces of 33 Raptor 2 engines!

Last but not least I want to give HUGE SHOUTOUT to the entire CSI Starbase team on discord. This dedicated team of 200+ agents with specialties ranging all across the board, has been crucial in getting the most accurate info for these episodes. Couldn't do it without

I don't understand how CSI Starbase does not have millions of subscribers. CSI Starbase sets the standard by which all others are judged.
  • @kentslocum
This was an absolutely incredible episode. The amount of research, the level of detail, the clear explanations...mind-blowing!
  • Listening to this presenter is a pleasure. I have hearing difficulties, and so many presenters speak either incomprehensibly, or in a way that makes one wonder if they ever attended an English language lesson in primary school. I'd happily listen to this presenter describing paint drying, just for the pleasure of understanding the words, and appreciating the expertise. What he says, and the way he says it, make it a real treat for the entire hour!
  • @tomrumble
This is the new standard for SpaceX deep dive videos. Bravo Zack and team.
  • @dustaone8521
This is gourmet starship content, michelin star, top notch, tasty stuff. My compliments to the Chefs.
  • @JimMZed
One of your best episodes yet. The amount of detailed physics was amazing. It’s great to have you back in action, Zack!
  • @stevencox7459
Zac, the friction of re-entry isn’t what creates the majority of the heat. It is actually the compressive effect of such high entry speeds on the atmosphere.
  • @moonasha
it really is insane how fast they built this thing. Truly an engineering marvel.
  • @GrigoriZhukov
Seeing the plasma spilling off the shuttle was one of the coolest things I've got to watch live.
  • @olsonspeed
Zack and his team have raised the bar for SpaceX coverage, the graphics are excellent and greatly enhance the episodes, we are in your debt.
  • @charlesmiller000
I doubt even SpaceX itself could've produced such an elegantly informative episode! Truly this is the Premiere Site of all things Starbase! Thank You So Much !!!
  • @markl3893
I'm pretty certain that the odd elbow coming off the bottom of the big deluge manifold is what we call a "low point drain". I designed many piping systems with low-point drains and high-point vents to facilitate draining the systems for maintenance and refilling them safely and completely with no air pockets.
  • @B0M0A0K
Astonishingly good episode. No one else does what you do and it this much detail. In my opinion, SpaceX should offer you VIP access to their site and engineering team.
  • @bertschb
Your detailed analysis and production quality never ceases to amaze me.
  • @rickmenasian6774
The sheer amount of engineering that went into designing the "showerhead" is mind-boggling. Each piece being one of a kind. Then they had to build it in a little over four months. People are awesome. The movie Contact comes to mind. Without the alien blueprints. This was entertaining without being boring. Good job.
  • @zaidpatel8695
It’s amazing how fast they learned from that failed launch and rebuilt the launch pad with all the modifications in such short time. No wonder SpaceX is the most sought after employer. They got some real smart and dedicated people working there. Excellent video. You earned my sub.
  • @djredrover
It doesn't get better than your videos, mate. You never miss.
  • @MarcelHuguenin
What an absolute fantastic deep dive video, worth every second of watching. Thanks to all creators involved in this huge effort to inform us. The research, the animation and even Zach’s presentation, they’re all of incredibly high quality. Thanks everyone.
