Fun fact: If a car can do the quarter mile in 9 seconds or less, you could drop a cannonball from 1/4 mile high above the finish line and drop it when the car left the starting line, and the car would beat the cannonball to the quarter mile.

There's nothing "old man" about that hot rod. These rods were old when I came of age (80's), but were always and will always be cool.
  • I can tell simply by your wiring you've been planning this a long time. Beautiful, intelligent build. Awesome results. Can't wait for the evolution of farkles, finish and paint.

The F-Rod is the coolest and most well done project car on Motor Trend. The parts chosen and the attention to detail is absolutely perfect, (anyone attempting to wire a car should watch how this car was wired). Freiberger really is a genius when it comes to preserving and respecting automotive history, choosing the right parts for the build, and a vision for what the final car should look like to just be cool and fast.

    David,your triple-shutoff-thru a relay-main shut off is pure genius...Awesome!!!

I’m so glad that they’re doing these recaps of episodes/builds on YouTube again.

The wiring segment was great! Very informative and it's the only the 2nd time I've seen someone wire up the battery disc switch with relays that way.
  • Thank you guys for kicking my out of the motor trend world, After 10 years of supporting you and waiting for every episode.

I love it. It has actual tires, it's carbureted, and it's beautiful. Of course I'm an old guy at 63. But this is a car I would love to have.

Ah, this reminds me how much I loved Roadkill Garage when I could watch it in Germany! Bring back at least your originals, I´m happy to pay the same as before! Don´t you guys like to earn money? Or did the discovery channel put you in some scammy contract? It is incredibly frustrating to be honest...

I’m building a 32 Chevy coupe 5 window. I really love the way you did the wiring and I’m thinking I wanna do the wiring the same way. And the way everything in the trunk looks great I wanna do the same. And the toolbox is genius. Loved the video. I’m always looking for anything and info on ways to go one this car just because it’s a full build. Thx for a great video. Keep up the great work.

The planning and thought process on the wiring is mind blowing to say the least

Finally! A period correct Old School Hot Rod with modern technology. I don't even care that it's powered by a Chevy. I'd love to see this thing win it's class on the power tour.
