What If Beerus BETRAYED and TRAPPED Goku in Whis' Staff... NOT the Hyperbolic Time Chamber.

During the Tournament of Power, Goku showed that when put under extreme pressure he could access the power of the gods. In the anime, this power is pretty much confirmed to exceed the gods themselves - don’t worry about the manga scaling for Ultra Instinct Goku since this story will be following the anime continuity. While Beerus was relieved that his universe won the Tournament of Power and even pleased Zeno in the process, he couldn’t help but have a strange feeling. The thought was put to the back of his mind for the moment, until the Saiyan known as Broly arrived on Earth.
Broly was near the level of Beerus himself and a fusion of Goku and Vegeta was more than enough to handle the brute. Now this was getting out of hand. While Beerus could have probably handled Broly on his own, the fused Saiyan was a different issue. It was easy for Beerus to instill fear into Vegeta, but Goku wasn’t as easily manipulated.
Goku went to Zeno’s palace against Beerus’ will, his whole demeanor with Zeno is too friendly and a threat to the Universe. Not only does Beerus fear for his own safety, but he’s also afraid that the Universe he’s in charge of will be lost as well. So as the Broly situation wraps up and Whis returns to Beerus he tells his attendant that they will no longer be so lenient with mortals. Watch the video for the full story!

    Yes, that's who Goku is. Under any circumstance, he's not the person to have a negative thought. He would never doubt his friends and his friends would never think bad of Goku after what he done to them.

    When I heard Vegeta scream “Do it now Broly!” I almost cheered out loud. Great take on this what if, and honestly the most realistic to Goku’s character

    Normally these betrayed stories can be a little edgy and out of character, but this was handled perfectly. Of course Goku would react like this.

    People forget that Sun Wukong is ridiculously powerful, so using that inspiration to give Goku a new transformation it’s really clever and a breathe of fresh air for sure!

    I'm proud of Goku. No matter what, he didn't hold a grudge against beerus. He really does have a mature and kind heart, Son Goku the warrior of pure.

    This interpretation of this What If is just the best by far of this What If. Perfectly understanding the mentality and character of Goku in this scenario just makes it feel like it could be canon potentially. And the funny parallel is that, it expressed a concern that Beerus had about Saiyans, and this explored it a lot more. Also, Broly was a nice twist for Vegeta's Wish. In conclusion: This earns a straight Perfect 10/10 in my eyes, and as we've heard from a certain Bio Android, " This has been truly, Perfect... "

    INCREDIBLE!!!! This interpretation of "What If Goku Was Betrayed" was one of the best What Ifs that I have ever seen! The story really kept me on the edge of my seat and the voice acting was unlike anything that I have ever heard of in the previous What Ifs, and they are extremely accurate to the Anime itself. I also enjoyed the fact that Beerus was Goku's target and not all of Earth unlike what Kami did to the latter in Smugstick's What If. Keep up the great work, Carthu. 👍 Final Results: Infinity/10

    Honestly one of my favorite what ifs. Good storytelling, voice acting, editing, good pacing since you summarized something that felt like an entire series in only 18 minutes.
