While we were in Thailand back in May, we got the opportunity of a lifetime. The most venerable Thai monk, Phra Maha Vudhijaya Vajiramedhi, allowed us to spend a day with him and got TD to become a monk for 24 hours. He and everyone at the Center were beyond kind and welcoming and it'll definitely be an experience we'll never forget.

Who are we?
We believe in challenging what society considers normal. So we seek discomfort to find our own way, to grow and to fulfill our true calling. And we make videos about it.

after suffering from PTSD during my military service, i decided to live for a year in monastaries across asia. living like a monk for a month at a time in different eastern traditions, practicing tibetan budhism in nepal and india, several different styles of yoga and hinduism in india, several vipassanna retreats, zen budhism in japan, chi gong and daoism, studying with sikhs , muslims and people of the jian relegion. i love this channel and i challange you to one the ultimate seek discomforts- 12 day vipassana retreat, you talk about mindfulness and dealing with anxiety, this could be an awsome experience ...
  • This is why I love Yes Theory. They always try different things and they continue to inspire others people to seek discomfort.

I didn't think I could love Matt more than I already did... and then I saw him sing Don't Stop Me Now in front of a confused group of Thai men and women

  • @LashanR
As someone who was raised Buddhist I'm really impressed at how you handled this video! It could have come across completely different but you held true and came out with something really refreshing and unique. Constantly pushing the envelope you guys 🔥🔥

So I’ve seen a few vocal coaches say that anyone can be trained to be a good singer. Something I’ve always been curious about, it would be so cool to see one of you ( that can’t typically sing well) over a month, a few months or even a year learn to sing well/produce a song. It could be a more long term project. Hopefully you guys say yes!
  • I’m a Christian and even this amazes me. The way they think and let everything go is really a great way to live. I may not believe in the religion, but life should be that way. This was an awesome video!
  • @danecarlson2373
I love how you can see TD's change in attitude from the beginning to the end of the video. I think this was a really positive experience.
  • @neonjs8540
1 day isn't enough to learn all about Bhuddism actually, but this is a nice. Glad to see more people being open-minded to experience new thing.
  • @jacobretana9298
