  • To be fair and more accurate comparison both trackers needs to be hidden in the same exact spot. Have each person come find their tracker hidden by a third person so neither person knows the location that the other person found their tracker.

the actual value is in the network factor of airtags. I'm an android user but the fact is airtags are findable much more easily as it connects to ALL iphones compared to Tile which only connects to Tile users IF the tile user signs up for a premium account, which I'm gonna bet not that many do. Once Google makes some tracking device that connects to ALL ANDROIDS than there is no competition unless you live in a place like Korea which has a TON of Samsung devices for Samsung Tags. With that sad Samsung ownership is quite high so I do have Samsung SmartTags and the samsung tags have a much longer range than the current Apple AirTags so my SmartTags have worked really well in USA, Spain, and Brazil thus far with the Samsung network (also free).
  • AirTags have a replaceable battery, which takes the win.
  • Note that iPhones have UWB (ultra wide band) thus gives you precision location abilities which is better than Tile. Tile will find you the general location unless you have Bluetooth on and close by.

i think you gave the airtag an disadvantage, you hid it over an object ofc its not gonna be that loud
  • @arelisgomez614
Dude Ofcourse it sounds quieter u literally put it in a bix
  • @rohdoug
Can tile send ping from anther location? Say from across the world?
  • If you hide them in different places then of course its going to have different times
  • I'm an android user. I'm thinking of putting trackers on my trucking equipment, such as tarps and trailers , so as to be able to track if they are stolen. I'm looking for advice as to which would be a better fit.
  • AirTag will always be the best as Apple’s AirTag benefits from a vast network of Apple devices, including iPhones, iPads, and Macs, which can help locate lost items. Since many people use Apple devices worldwide, there’s a higher likelihood of finding your lost item with AirTag compared to other Bluetooth tracking devices like Tile, which relies solely on the Tile community network.

Tile is a joke! It can be used to guess if your item is within 50 feet from you or not and then you play the guessing game.
