  • Still to this day you all are the best in the biz!! Never change!
  • The music for the final score is stellar! Starting with the original theme before evolving into the new style of music in forbidden west. Hoping all the music in this game will be as dynamic.
  • Excellent, thorough and inspired Review. Jones, you’re a true professional.

Jones, this might just be your best review yet! Loved your specific focus on the storytelling in particular.

I thought Jones’ call out of Aloy’s constant commentating was a bit odd, but after playing 10-ish hours I completely agree. It is incredibly obnoxious, especially so when she straight up solves puzzles for you almost immediately. “Maybe shoot this thing!” “I should grapple to this!” “Time to shoot the bridge down!” Its condescending game design in an otherwise excellent game.

Excellent review; there aren't many that are as concise and well-written as what you guys put out there
  • Better than the first game. And the first game was already incredible for me. I cant believe this year we get this game, Gran turismo, Elden ring and god of war ragnarok
  • I’m baffled on how good every single screen of this game looks
  • I adored the original story, it was so far up my alley I could taste it. I have been worried they wouldn't be able to do something so compelling this time around so hearing such high praise for this story, even with a few pacing issues, has reinvigorated my excitement!
  • One of the very best open world games matched only with Witcher 3 and RDR2 in my books. Actually that was expected, but the amount/quality ratio of side content is what shines here. Even minigames are very well designed, everything has it's own plot here and it is connected, this is vast improvement in comparision to the first game, where side content was inferior to main plot. Hopefully 2nd biggest release this year Elden Ring will also match very high expectations. Different game I know, but could be a masterpiece as well for different reasons. What a time to be a gamer!!!
  • I've been hearing good things and when I went in on a whim a few years late on Zero Dawn, I was left wanting even more of the world. Really looking forward to playing this this weekend.
  • Jones is right, people absolutely should play Zero Dawn before Forbidden West. Then you can play 2 great titles back2back. There's no point not to, still a great time even 5 years later. I know as an open-world game HZD got kinda overshadowed by BOTW upon release, but for me the combat and slow-drip lore reveals were the real star of the show. Honestly probably would've been just as good as a linear action game lol but I'm super excited to explore the futuristic west coast. Just hope it runs well on PS4 :P
  • I think we've learned between the Biomutant review and this one that excessive in-game character narration is one of Jones' unique and biggest pet peeves lol. Great review, now I'm absolutely foaming at the mouth for Friday to come.
  • I can't believe it's been 5 years since the first one Can't wait to dive in
  • Great review. It is so funny that Jones has been complaining about Aloy's commentating since one of the very first trailers, live reactions they did. I honestly never notice it.
  • You guys are the best! Jones voice is like a warm blanket straight out of the dryer.
  • Oh man this looks incredible! And that board game is definitely gonna get me into trouble. Friday can't come soon enough!

Jones! Wow. You writing, editing and VO-ing a review gave me the chills. The EZA reviews are best in the biz, but your voice on top of your own script and edit is so fu*king credible. The arguments you are making is so grounded in facts and knowledge, and as an open world enthusiast as my self, you are speaking straight to my heart. Saw the BTS podcast, Easy update, with Isla just before this review. You are so funny and loveable. A healthy inspiration for many men, not only in gaming. Keep steering the ship in the right direction. To the future and beyond! (Would rather write this pretty personal comment on the review post on Patreon, but have forgotten my password) Love & admiration, alslax

I mean, Aloy talking to herself makes sense lore wise. She has lived a lonely life, she has probably been talking to herself for 20 years
