I listened to this song on repeat for over an hour. I’m 59 and I think this is one of greatest songs of all time.

Memories of high school back then, I was 17 and had this 45 RPM record in my collection. The lyrics were understandable and the backing was great. I'll be 76 this month. Cheers to all those who are still with us from that time period. Bob

I was 14 when this song came out. I married at 18 and my wife and I danced to this song so many times. Every time I hear it I remember holding her close and dancing and loving her so much. I miss dancing with her.
  • This is a classic and will always be. It has lasted the test of time and is still one of the best songs written and performed.

This came out when I was thirteen and I never forgot it. At 72 those backing oooo's, his voice and the arrangement still amaze me. Out of the thousands of songs I've listened to, this one, more than any other, puts me back there again.
