It was number two on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the United States and number 1 on the UK's New Musical Express chart for four weeks during July 1959.

Bought this 45 rpm in 1958 when I was 16 and played it over and over in my Mums kitchen while she prepared meals for 20 boarders. She threatened to break it if I didn’t stop! This was when we British kids were waking up to the new exciting music coming over from the States——The King, The Killer—-Paul Anka— The Everlys—- Chuck Berry and many more. It was the greatest time ever to be young, hot music, hot summer nights and even hotter girls! 65 years later, I have to pinch myself to to believe I was ever that young and really happened! Where did those years go??
