If you look at 9:30 closely, the rope was already partially broken in half, while for the other hamsters the rope was fine.

After seeing someone watch this and analyse it when the hamsters walk across the glass panels the entire floor all the way along is the solid checkered floor. Then when they show the video of the hamster falling into the cotton they've put the padding there and its a different hamster. They're definitely letting hamsters smash onto hard surfaces and then editing clips in to make it look like they're safe. This channel has been deleting comments pointing this out so we'll see how many people get to read this one.
