I had a very important question for my grandpa, and the answer was life-changing. My grandpa is 97-years old. He lives 3000 miles away and I love him very much. I wanted to make sure, for my sake, for my family's sake, for the world's sake, that there was some record of his story, a memory of the amazing man he is. Here is my journey traveling 3000 miles to interview my grandpa.

My grandpa passed away a few years back and there are so many questions I wish I would've asked him, I wish that I could ask him... This is a fantastic thing you've done Zach! Memories and stories are things to be treasured for generations to come :)

I often envy those who had and has the opportunity to gain wisdom from those who have lived a great life, a dark life, a fulfilling life. It is because they experienced so much in their lives that they've reached maturity levels no one who simply observe can reach. It is from them that you truly learn and receive eye-opening ideas about the world, about life, or simply about how you should think. Amazing video as always, Zach.
  • I often do the same thing. Once in a month I visit a elderly house for talk and take care of the elderly people and I listen their historys. All of these is very reflexive and gives you many perspectives about the life and the things that really matters. Excellent job with your channel men. I love your videos. Take care and have a great week!!!

Wow! This is great. Thank u for doing this.
  • Your video was the little notch I needed to take action! The same idea crossed my mind, but I was too afraid to come off as somehow annoying or too intrusive when thinking about asking my grandpa. Now I realize I don't have reasons not to ask. Your grandpa seems like a sweetheart. A wonderful memory to cherish. Thank you so much, Zach.

damn zach this was beautiful - you've got a lot of skill at telling stories - it was already clear through your hospital story series, but hearing you share this story about your grandfather just took it to a whole other level. Excited to hear more about your grandfather's story on your podcast, and more of your stories on future episodes. rest in peace eric gergel.

Wow! What you did with your grandpa here is so beautiful. He seems like an amazing person that lived a long and meaningful life. He would have been so proud of the man you grew up to be and so over the moon that you took such an interest in his life. The way you talk about him reminds me of my grandpa. He passed away when I was a young kid, but I always think about how I would have loved to talk about his life with him and learn as much as possible had he lived long enough for me to be in my 20’s. Thanks for the awesome video! 😊
