I spent 3 1/2 year making nothing but fancy 'coffee table boxes' out of exotics - in dovetails. I lived and breathed dovetails! It's nice to watch someone else do the magic. A very sharp European saw - 15 tpi - with no set, worked best, for me. An excellent design and a minimum of 'spinning tools' sells best!
  • This is an example in which the container is probably more valuable than what you put inside!! Beautiful work!!

A really nice piece of work. I love the melding of the different species of wood, It gives the piece a special character.

That's a very pretty box and someone is going to cherish it for many years, someone else will inherit and cherish it, and so on. Thanks for showing us your skills and process, it's impressive - subbed.

Nice hand tool technique. Cute little mallet. And thankyou so so much for demonstrating the table saw with the blade guard in.
  • WoW! The graining of all 3 woods is gorgeous. And of course it really pops when 5he oil is applied. Just another beautiful piece by Carpen Tak! Keep them coming!!
