Hard to believe, but this is the first new canoe tripping video in 7 months, and the first one with Erin in over 9 months. Another trip has already happened since this one, and another one starts this weekend 😁 Great to be back out!

that family tea towards the video's middle - no cutlery, fingers only, the overstressed burp, shared off-the-can lager- funtastic!!!
  • You 2 are delightful together. Erin I love your positive attitude even when you are beyond exhausted. I have watched the same ones multiple times and never get tired of them. A peaceful interlude in my noisy life. ❤

“You’re just really slimy and I know that’s not your fault”. My favourite line of the whole trip!

The respect and love you have for each other is inspirational.

Its nice to see respectful handling of smaller Pike. Too many people treat them so poorly, "disappointed" that its not a big one. But you've gotta let the little ones get big...

Sitting here sharpening my hatchet for my own canoe trip can’t think of many better ways to spend time than watching this while I work

Erin, knocking it dead with the pike! You go woman! Oh yeah Jon, i guess you caught a few too...lol. Great trip! Many thanks!

  • The excitement of catching a big fish, Erin reacted great! You always want to at least see the fish! It was great to just see you two out and about again! Can't wait for more videos! Take care of each other!

I've been watching your channel as I'm learning to fish and I finally hooked my first fish, from the canoe, on a backcountry lake! I was trolling with my new rod holder when a huge fish just slammed my lure, bent my rod right over, fought like crazy and spat my pinched hook the moment I made a mistake. It was awesome. Thanks for all the great advice!

I love the elegance of a canoe with proper webbed cane seats. Had one myself once. These days I'm content to experience your adventures vicariously. Take in the moments... as I know you do.
