I was playing Srixon ZX5'S, but switched to the TaylorMade P7mcs 5-Pw and P770 4 iron 1 degree weak. I love them. No more hot flyers and more spin!!!
  • Another awesome video! Trottie always hooking us up with the knowledge we need, I can’t wait for next season. I think I need some new irons next year too…

I play Ping Eye 2 plus no plus BECU 2-SW. Forever clubs. Buying a used set of Tietliest T300's to use as an alternate. Love the Cleveland Launcher Halos and Wilson Staff GI irons also. Great options out there for us duffers that work too much, don't play as much as we want. Cheers

I think I'll like my stealth irons once I finally get the angles perfected. I think I'll end up 2 degrees weak. I've had trouble generating spin and holding greens. Also my gapping was 20 yards.

That's an interesting video. I play TM Rocketballz and as you'll remember they have lots of offset and 85g R shafts. Since I've been using a Trackman range I noticed I have around 114mph ball speed with my 6 iron and I can either lose it right of target or hook 'em left. I must need less off set and heavier shafts 🤔

Great video Trottie great advice, looking forward to my fitting on the 20th, do I upgrade from A bag full of Stealth 2 irons and woods and go to QI clubs or P790, exciting times ahead.
  • Just started golfing 5 months ago, been having some good fun, hoping to eventually get some stealth irons.

Great video. Still sad, that TM is not bringing back a new P760. Still the perfect "players iron with help" there was......

You can stop the ball with spin or with descent angle. My stealth provides enough height to stop on green with low spin. Stealth is awesome!!!
  • Put my Blades away ,am 66 and Gaming Mizuno JPX 921 Hot Metal with 95 gram recoil Graphite regular Flex shafts ,My first reg Flex love them !
  • I thought I would go for the g430 game improvement irons, but when I did my fitting, I didn't like them very much. I also tried the i525, which felt very chunky as well. I ended going with the i230s with the Project-x reg sharts and I really, really like them! I'm hitting them progressively better and better, and am very satisfied with my choice. With traditional lofts I don't get a ton of distance (150 max carry with a 7 iron), but the dispersion is much better and I get a nice high ball flight, which is great. I am a 21.1 HCP right now and improving quickly. I don't think "players irons" are just for scratch players.
  • @MarkY72.
I started getting more consistent with my irons, I used to blade and shank my shots, now I’m hitting high straight shots, sometimes drawing the golf ball, but I lost quite a bit of distance than before, but hitting the ball a lot better. Would the P790’s work for me if I’m not really missing badly on the face of the club like before? I’m currently playing the Ping G400 irons. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks!

Trottie, this made me think of Trent from the Foreplay pod. Which made me think, I’d kill for you and him to find a time to do a video series like you did with Ben Baller. But if a club fitting/tune-up and little bit of game improvement.

I have the Sim 2 Max irons. I'm gonna game them for years until I feel like I can get fitted for some player irons.
  • Love your video Trottie. I would learn so much from you in just 10 minutes. Im ready to pull the trigger on some new Irons. I am a 13 but progressing fast to my goal of single digits by the end of the year. I have Good speed and consistent contact. I get more distance than I want with my Rogue st max OS and they drive me crazy going long and left then I back off them and miss right. I dont want them to go like that I want consistent yardages. I really want to play a forged iron and shape a little more with the 7-PW but wouldnt mind a bit of help with the longer irons. I have. A 4 hybrid. What do you recommend? I want that buttery feel!
  • @ichor20
Would a players distance iron (i.e. p790, i525, t200, etc) be next in line when looking to get out of game improvements?
  • @A.D.D.O.C.D.T
I got fitted for game improvement but feel like they may help me and not make me improve my swing by being too forgiving and making bad shots half good ? It’s a lot of coin and I’m interested in your opinion as you won’t be directly profiting like the shop guy.
