Faster isn't always better, but sometimes there is a big leap in technology and faster is better and that leap leads to better products and more innovation and so it continues.

This is the FLSUN T1, the little brother to the S1, there aren't too many bells and whistles on this printer, and personally I like a printer to be fairly straight forward so that I can upgrade it myself and makes adjustments easily as well. So is this printer the next leap in 3D printing tech, or is it all hype? We're going to do a deep dive to see if we can reach those stats on their website and then we'll even take the printer to the next level by installing 2 of our own upgrades to see if that helps as well.

This printer isn't as full featured as the X1C, but it is very capable and very precise. It also has a heated chamber and can reach higher hot end temps.

  • thank you for running actual tests on their speed claims
  • "highs and lows, fast and slows". Sounds like a title of a song about life. 🤣
  • Slow is smooth, smooth is fast. Also lying about the specs is such an annoying trend in the industry. While I do understand that they practically have to due to all the competition doing that, it would be nice to see a company shirk that trend
  • I thought that was the T1 in the background on your last video 😂
  • Yes it's fast.. But how is the quality of the prints? How are the walls , details , overhangs etc.
  • All in all this printer is actually great, and competetive in price. It's just the proper setting of expectations that damaged its reputation, together with the FLSUN S1. It is already great at 600-800mm/s, so idk why they need to overpromise 1000mm/s it is already great at 40mm³/s, and this is with a generic non special brass nozzle, so why overpromise with 90mm For reference, this printer is $540 here in the Philippines. The K1C is $550, and the P1S is sadly $800 (without AMS). Great deal, but no go for me as FLSUN gave me trust issues.
  • These new FLSUN printers def have flaws, but watching the infill go that fast is wild. The really exposed nozzle is not great. The printhead falling on a failure is also a poor behavior. I think 60mm³/s is more realistic for a constant flow rate, but it is impressive you got as high as you did. Gonna vary wildly by filament and settings, but being able to attain reasonable quality at extreme flow rates is what really matters. The 32mm³/s with PETG is impressive and the way it handles TPU is very nice too. Your airflow and sound mods are super cool! Better performance and wow so much quieter. Why can't companies do this better out of the box? I think the T1 makes way more sense for the money than the S1.
  • In all honesty, it seems as though this printer would be able to reach its said limits if it had a better extruder/hotbed combination. I would love if you’d explore this option with this printer. Understanding its price tag, the hot end should not be the limiting factor, solid motion system though!

Hi there! What is the mains voltage in your area? You are the second reviewer that got power-downs… is it 110v or 220v?
  • Always neat to see what people come up with for tests for these things; wondering if you did similar tests for your KE that you did a bunch of mod videos for 🤔
  • @DIYtechie
Nice review and nice mods. Maybe the next version of this printer will be spot on.
  • @TNX255
There's been rather negative reviews about the Flsun S1, especially regarding the flow rate claims and positional accuracy and it's repeatability. It would have been nice to see at least some testing about that, like a torture toaster or a few repeated and measured prints. Does this printer have the same hotend setup as the S1 (looks like it)? And how reliable is when it comes to printing dimensions and accuracy? How does speed affect this?
  • @vim55k
The best review! I love you getting the needed details of the actual achiavable flow . s1 is too pricey anyway
  • @nuroo1
Ive seen alot of reviews of this printer. Ive been in the 3d printing hobby for over 5 years. My 1st printer was a diy 3ku delta. I'm basically watching to determine your honesty reviewing printers you didnt buy.
  • I would love it, if you could show Pressung advanced calibration with a 0.6 mm cht nozzle at higher speed, and let us see a testprint after calibration
  • Very good review and well detailed... Thank you Where can we find the 2 STL files that you have mentioned?
  • @75keg75
9:50 bed leveling. Or it mesh. Don’t you have to set bed every print or something. This is like. 0.9 software release. Then need to do 1.0 before releasing and then consumer should wait till service pack 1 before jumping in haha
