Yeah, I'm sure grandma knows how to go into boot options
-
In the ad, they don't even mention that you'll be using a completely different operating system, which is a HUGE deal to most people.
-
My dad got an ad for one of these and he wanted to buy it. I sent him this video and it made him change his mind. Thanks Linus!
-
"Maybe I'll play a little pinball." IN 3D
-
In one of their ads the guy showed a DVD drive and called it a hard drive.
-
I feel scammed and I haven't even bought anything...
-
"Oh, Anthony's in the video" FALLS OUT OF CHAIR IN EXCITEMENT
-
Imagine paying $70 for a flash drive with a Linux distro flashed on it.
-
Hah, they're selling a flash drive and a Xtra- PC skinned Lubuntu which is already free. I feel scammed and I haven't bought anything at all.
-
So its $80 for linux on a usb flash drive. interesting
-
My grandparents actually considered getting one of these and I showed them just exactly how easy it is by pulling out one of my identical SanDisk 64GB sticks and dropping Xubuntu on it. I can appreciate whatever mild scripting they did and setup that they included (which most distros already have anyways), but the absolutely extreme markup they do for nothing but their own Linux distro and a cheap flash drive is insane and absolutely predatory. I also feel that this is basically an ethical violation of what Linux was built on to just charge for completely non-transformative versions of Linux
-
Ha! I remember that "performance gauges" widget! I felt like such a badass geek using them as a kid. I'm pretty sure they didn't really work either.
-
Got recommenced the ad for this and as a person who's installed puppy linux on a 20 cent blank CD it makes me FURIOUS. They're also scumbags for selling linux which is a FREE SOFTWARE, that THEY didn't even make!! >:(
-
Such a techy grandma, opening chrome instead of that blue E.
-
Linus: “Brings Anthony” Me: “Ah it must have Linux on it”
-
How to make old pc’s faster: Clean it up from dust!!!!
-
literally only here because the stupid ad was playing and i was thinking scam.
-
At least your grandma has a sweet RGB keyboard to look at while the PC loads.
-
I got an ad for this recently, and out of curiosity, I clicked it. I laughed so hard reading the article and all the misleading claims they were making 😆
-
Love Anthony, he's so chill. Guy could be talking about anything and I'd listen.
