Along with the Brick Piece, there's also the Gold Leaf and Silver Leaf that are only got by transferring specific Pokemon from Gen 1 to Gen 2. Those really messed with my head as a kid! I was totally convinced that if I got enough of them and brought them to the shrine in Ilex Forest I would be able to battle Celebi.
