I've seen the tour of this from Engel & Volkers too and it's just too expensive for the size no matter how luxurious it is. Even $850,000 I could maybe understand, but over $1M is nuts.

I think it's representative of a serious lack of affordable housing in British Columbia and Metro Vancouver in particular. Like even though everybody gave the Soviet Union $h1+ for their so called khruschevka and breznevka "commie block" condominiums and criticised the United states in previous decades foe their giant apartment blocks housing projects like Chicago's Cabrini Green and NYC's NYCHA/Nychaland housing projects, those were at least ATTEMPTS to house people. We need something like what they have in Singapore with the government and companies working together to build lots of apartment and condo towers. Also we need to STOP thinking that it's a good idea to keep building so many houses or to have such restrictive zoning laws. A condo or apartment building has space for like 20 or more families on the same space as a house that only has space for 1 or families at most.
