As an Indian, I am deeply concerned about the worsening Human Rights conditions in the US.

It's so horrifying to see someone so rotten to the core can be in law enforcement.

Sounds like a cold blooded murder and should be tried as such.

  • He needs to be fired and sued personally for the emotional damage he has caused this family. This poor family

I am a 22 year old grad student in genetics in Buffalo. We mourn her loss here, it could have been any of us. Rest in peace and love Jaahnavi❤

So the few cops that we have in Seattle are crooked. Great role models!

This happened in a country who consider themselves "Champion of Human Rights".

From the cop almost hitting that child getting off the bus, to the cops in kansas raiding a 98 year old's home and causing her death shortly after, to this. There is a clear trend among police officers of unhinged behavior like this, and this is just what is captured on video. Officers should be made to wear bodycams at all times and have absolutely zero control over turning the mic on or off.
  • To any of her family and friends who see this awful video I am deeply sorry for your loss, your daughter mattered and i would like to apologize for this horrid behavior and i want you to know that most people in Washington state are not like him, we care and we are sincerely hurt.

This worries me. This officer did this in January and we are just hearing of this now? I think that there was a attempt at a cover up and it failed. Just my two cents.

The two officers should be removed of any current and future leadership role in law enforcement, and promptly fired for a start..

Kevin Dave was the cop who struck Jaanhavi. This is a conversation with PD Union leader Daniel Auderer and his Guild President Mike Solan. This footage got released to the press internationally because he was suggesting a low financial compensation to her Indian family. His words have no empathy - typical Union leader behaviour. Any amount of monetary compensation, wont ever get her back to life?

"There is a system in place to deal with things like this swiftly " yet this happened 6 months ago . smdh

Yes, horrifying AND Shameful 😢 She is beautiful and vibrant and the sick bias of this officer sought to reduce her to monetary figures. The parents raised someone intended to improve this world I'm sure. RIP Jaahnavi. How heartbreaking and sad.

We all know that this is not the first time, and it is not going to be the last time. The US should be accountable with its police and then preach to the world about human rights.
  • Our Indian government should step up and demand strict actions against the perpetrators. Police in the US can be as much as racists and ignorant they want, to their own people. But she was one of us, we should not let them go.
