It is impressive how much more is said about this Brazilian team than about Italy, which was champion that World Cup. More impressive is how a losing team can make history. This Brazilian team is a king without a crown. That is precisely the lesson that this extraordinary team leaves us: the best result does not always show your quality, your success. It's football......it's life itself.

Brazil 82 is a prime example of why it's called the beautiful game.

I am an Indian but I am a brazil fan... Love from India,Kerala ❤️❤️🇮🇳🇧🇷
  • socrates, the smartest footballer ive ever heard from.he was like a football philosopher and knows how to express football. not about money and success, but about bringing joy and bringing art to life. RIP brazilian legend
  • O jogo bonito. 40 years later, we still remember this team. And their names shall remain etched in footballing folklore forever. Thanks maestros!
  • I'm Scottish, obviously I wanted my team to win back then, but I fell in love with this Brazilian team. It broke my heart when they lost to Italy. I was 10 years old and still remember crying very hard watching them leave the field at the end of that match. Eder's face full of disappointment, is etched in my mind. I've never seen a better Brazilian team since.

Socrates was magic, he was a doctor and smoked up to 60 gigs a day, he was like some mythical footballing great. If he was a doctor then he would be semi pro? His penalties were a treat he'd take one step back and chip it in. It was sad when he passed away he really left his football mark on the game. Socrates thank yo for the great memories you gave the game.
  • I can remember sitting in my hotel in Spain in 82 blown away by this team still my favourite team of all time when we arrived home back in the UK I was running round my local park calling myself Zico

  • The team that really made me fall in love with football and the World Cup, my first as a kid. Was utterly devastated when they lost to Italy. Such beautiful and fun football they played.
  • Brilliant documentary. It made me cry. Wonderful time for the game. I was and still am an diehard fan of Italy, even though I was born in Argentina. I say that because I remember how great this Brazil of 82 was, maybe even better than Brazil of 70. Even while Italy beating Brazil was the greatest sporting joy of my life when I was 22, I realized that the Brazil of Zico, Falcao, Socartes, Cerezo, Eder, and every single other player on the field and on the bench who were actually GIANTS or MONSTERS of football. I have never had as much respect for any other team as I do and did for this particular Seleção. Not even for Italy or Argentina which I love both. Watching these heroes talk about football and their team is very emotional and reminds me of the love I had and still can have for this beautiful, beautiful game. I'm still crying.

I was 16 when that game was played, and every time I watch it I wish the result would change. It seemed so unfair that Brazil lost that match.
  • @woffydo

I don't understand Portuguese, please forgive me. I watched this unique documentary from start to finish, the film was worth watching. I was 14 years old at the time of this edition of the world cup, i will be 54 years old this month, i remember this as the first world cup that i really understood what was happening and i was in middle school at the time and a football crazy youngster, everybody had their favourite player and at school the next day we would play in the playground being Zico, Falcao, Socrates,Junior . When Brazil lost to Italy , we were heartbroken...the football matches in the playground suddenly ground to a halt, anyway...here i am...over half a century old and to this day, this team is the one that i have the most affection for, Spain '82 will forever be in my heart and thought's for the way they played , with invention, style and zest , Viva seleção Brazil 1982 !!😘
