Everybody remembers Baggio’s miss but not the one of Baresi, the man who missed the entire World Cup because of an injury but struggled to make it to the finals and eventually managed to muzzle both Romario and Bebeto during that match. Baresi and Baggio didn’t deserve that even though Brazil was globally dominant during that match.

Ever since I was a kid watching in 94 I've never understood the narrative of "Baggio's miss lost Italy the World Cup". Even if he'd scored Brazil would still of won if they converted their 5th kick.

What a great edition of the '94 World Cup. The Brazilian national team put in an even more amazing performance. King Romario, Bebeto Leonardo Dunga and goalkeeper Taffarel.

Ver o Brasil ser campeão da Copa do Mundo é algo surreal! É impressionante ver todo o Brasil gritando e comemorando de uma só vez! Só na Copa do mundo acontece isso! Eu tinha 14 anos na época e posso dizer que peguei a melhor fase da Seleção Brasileira (1994-2002), o Brasil chegou em 3 finais consecutivas e ganhou 2 ! Hoje em dia não vejo mais o Brasil ser campeão tão facilmente o Futebol se tornou muito mais globalizado e competitivo! Em questões táticas os Europeus evoluiram muito principalmente a França.

Franco Baresi was the only player in 1994 who had been part of the 1982 italian champion squad ( though he was a bench player in 1982). And he missed his penalty. Well, at least hes got his 1982 WC gold medal
