Asmongold made a good point. People want to be able to get to end game and play at the highest level in a reasonable amount of time without having to get a high paying job. For most people, games are an escape from reality. They don't want to have to grind in reality to have the opportunity to escape in a game. It defeats the purpose. Also, games like these use tactics to take advantage of people's shortcomings and manipulate their brains to get them hooked and waste their money.

This is the reason why in The Netherlands we have lootbox gambling rules that apparently Diablo Immortal is not compliment to since they did not release it here. its sad its needed to have law to protect people like these not to spend all their live saving into a game like this. TBH i think it will only stop if law like these are implemented on a broader level
