  • One form of ransomware I've seen is ads on websites that ask to send you notifications, giving a bunch of notifications from your browser, but only actually installing once you click on one of the notifications. To get rid of them, I simply clear my cookies. Super informative video, and as I'm relatively new to experiencing malware threats, it was super informative!
  • Stellar video! I should also mention FIDO or U2F Two-factor Authentication (2FA) keys. These are much harder to exploit as they don't send codes over the vulnerable SMS (text messaging) service. It is well known by security experts that SMS is vulnerable to interception. Meaning a skilled attacker could get the 2FA code before you do (or send one you didn't request) and gain access to your accounts.
