In Australia, I've been watching American politics since Putin's invasion of Ukraine, so I've been watching Trump and MTG all the while thinking, 'He wants America to be like Russia, he wants to be another Putin.' The maggoty MAGA crowd worship him, but I've long thought they're being paid by someone. Thanks for this interview and for educating me about Project 2025, my suspicions were confirmed. I hope you keep safe to continue this important work.

My parents lived through the Mussolini era. Apart from aligning with Hitler, he played to the desperation of a poor and illiterate population. Open your eyes USA! So glad yall talked about the link between project 2025 and overseas + how Heritage Foundation is actively pushing into other countries. Liz Truss (former UK PM who tanked their economy to the tune of £8bil overnight) has come and been a big speaker and PDFs from Heritage and other GOP groups have been passed around hy the Tories. Viktor Orbán is a huge Heritage buddy. The links and global connections between authoritarians worldwide is one of the undercovered aspects and it needs more attention, esp since we who want to protect democracy need to start coordinating and supporting each other

The ISSUES IS that those who SHOULD READ IT WONT!

Discussions like this should be given to all our representatives in government. When I was working and we had an accident, the company would hire people to come in and talk to all of us. The people that came in had real life experiences and were educated to discuss why accidents would happen and the goal was to make us relate and think about our actions so that hopefully we are engaged and think more about safety. I believe that this was helpful. But it would have been more helpful to have had this type of education through out life instead of getting it as a result of a crisis. So that being said, this discussion that you Ruth and the others that also had much to say which would educate us on this crisis of Trump and the GOP willingness to let our Democracy flip into Fascism or Athoritarianism. Children are "right at this moment" being exposed to Fascism by camps that represent themselves as family (like boy scout) camps. I actually checked out one of these places because at first glance seemed harmless. But when I saw a copy of a letter signed by Adolf Hitler hung on the door to the main entrance, it sent chills through my body. So at that moment, I realized that right wing thinking parents are exposing there children to fascism in this way. Much the same way that it was done in Germany before WWII. Our educational system has failed us. This failure also took time starting after WWII. The steps were slowly taken over time and pow now we are here. The crisis is slapping us in the face right now. But I am thankful to you Ruth and others with similar backgrounds to yours and lawyers and judges that recognize what is happening juat as you do and they are joining the fight to educate all of us on this crisis. Thank you. But if we get through this you and the others need to get together to overhaul our educational system. We need the public school system. We need it to be fully funded. We need teachers like you to teach truth about all history. To teach philosophy and how to develope Critical thinking abilities based on truth. A person told lies as truth can not be a critical thinker. They can not make good decisions and our public school system has been defunded and good teachers are not hired and the push to private schools coupled these actions has set the stage for what is now happening. First we have to get through this crisis. Then we have much work ahead of us to develope guards against this crisis from happening again. I too believe in our people, the ones like you that see this dire threat are greater than the right thinking group. We have to protect their right to vote and other important freedoms. Well done Ruth!
