I retired from active Army in 2022 after 22 years. JV is spot on. Vance attacks a 24 year veteran while bowing in subservience to a silver spoon draft dodger who mocked US POWs. It is so disgusting.
  • That's actually a very good question: why is the NATIONAL GUARD being deployed to a war overseas?
  • @3431579
    He’s right. It is despicable.

A Navy SEAL just praised the service of a military cook. That is spot on. Every military job is honorable.
  • “Holding men responsible” first time I’ve heard a politician say “men should be held responsible .”
  • @bluetoughguy
National guard shouldn't have been on foreign soil. I was one of those people that deployed....it was ridiculous and because of it, we lost five soldiers. They should only ever be used for issues within the US.

Walz left one service, protecting our country, and entered another service where he's helped millions. What has Vance done, aside from driving journalists around for 6 months, then making a fortune hanging around with billionaires?

Jesse Ventura is a true American, unfortunately he couldn't stay a politician since he had a habit of telling the truth and always speaking his mind.
  • It is sickening to hear Vance following Trump's lead and acting like a child!!!

I am a Korean. My age is 62. I have done military service for 2 years and 3 months in Korea as a KATUSA for my country and USA. I respect Mr. Walz's military service for USA.

I'll be honest, I had no idea that Ventura was in the Underwater Demolition Team. I legitimately just knew him as a former wrestler-turned politician. Much respect for his service, for his intelligence, and for his strong moral stance in defending other vets from spurious attacks.
  • Ventura is RIGHT. The national guard is to guard the nation - not to invade other nations. Thank you, Sir!
  • Thank you, governor Ventura for your military service and your honesty. You have earned my respect.
  • As a retired Navy veteran with well over 20 years of service, Jesse is 100% correct. I was a senior enlisted before getting a direct commission as an officer. I can't recall how many requests I processed for retirement many of which came before deployment. There was not even the thought of "abandonment" or anything like that from anyone in the chain of command. When the deployment was announced that is when the requests usually came in. Career military deploy or retire based on personal reasons. They have done their time and now it is a respected choice based on whatever is best for them and their families. Further, the final decision to grant the request is made far above the paygrade of the local unit. The manning and readiness folks back in D.C. have the final say. If a person is critical to a unit's effectiveness then they will find a replacement for him or her or request the member delay their retirement unless there is an overriding personal reason for doing it. This is a discussion that takes place within the command and with the decision makers in D.C. NO ONE in the U.S. military is singularly indispensable. As Jesse says, an E-9 is an administrator, a plug and play guy so this whole issue is absurd and just shows Vance's total prostitution of whatever honor he had as a Marine but that is the price you pay to be in Trump's orbit.
  • @Hannibal54689
Yeah 24 yrs E-9 veteran is as high as it gets in the military as an enlisted. Jesse is 100% correct
  • Jesse isn't perfect, but his entire rant here was 100% spot on. Well said Governor!

As a Navy veteran myself, i have no problem criticizing another veteran for their service, especially when they attack another veteran unwarranted. Vance is a 4yr camera jockey that barely walked away with an end of tour NAM and a good conduct medal.
