Been doing witchcraft for years I am glad you said many people only want the idea of being a witch. It's a craft that has to be studied and learned and performed.

Hi everyone, I started getting interested in witchcraft a few months ago. I studied it, read a lot about it, but never took the time to practice. I was never feeling motivated enough, always felt tired, exhausted before starting it. I finally gathered some salt, put it in jars and placed them in my apartment. I then lit up some incense and wandered around, filling the flat up with a thick, scented smoke, then sat down and thought about ptotecting my house, and getting strengh to finally practice. I felt better in an instant. It felt as if I just woke up from a wonderful nap, I feel amazing. I'm just sitting here on the floor in my smokey living room, typing this because I felt the need to share it. Sending lots of love to my witch sisters, brothers and person 🌙

My wife and I are Green Witches, but are also very eclectic. As a Male Witch I'm hoping you can address the role of Male Witches and how rewarding it can be for both husband and wife to practice the Craft. It took we Male Witches many years to get even people practicing the Old Ways to stop calling us "Warlocks." I look forward to learning from you and exchanging ideas. Blessed Be.

Hi Everyone, I finally decided that I was a witch a few months ago. Since admitting that and finally accepting the fact that I am pagan (I was raised strict southern Baptist convention) I have been much happier. I just started my Book of Shadows a few months ago. I made my own little travel altar and made my own wand from a fallen branch the tree I always park by gave me. I still have a lot to learn, which is why I am so grateful for Ella and this community.
  • I love how simple you explain everything. I'm very new to the craft. I can get overwhelmed so easily.

I am an Eclectic who I live in the city. There are some restriction that can prevent me from from being in nature. But my neighborhood isn't too safe. There is a park with a lagoon. But there are alot of wild geese, and we are told to be careful, due to crime. Also, our building doesn't have a backyard where one is allowed to plant gardens. I incorporate green/kitchen elements in my practice. I work with herbs that I purchase through metaphysical stores that I support. However, I am planning doing indoor garden, by planting some herbs that I connect with: Sage, Rosemary, Basil, and Flowers like Lavender and Chamomile.

For me, I started looking into witchcraft to understand further phenomenon. While the material world which we all concieve is something i'm attach to. The immaterial are things far more phenomenal that I wish to understand. I have a psychologist that aids me in mental issues, and so far no symptoms tied to hallucinations are noted. But I do think that due to my constant depression, it has made me more vulnerable and less bitter in imagining the probability of something being out there.

I call myself a make do witch. Or a frugal witch. I started out setting up all the bells and whistles on my alter, but have pared down to a handful of crystals, a candle, my cards and inscense. It's all about what works for you. I use a day planner to write down my readings, and a giant notebook as a book of shadows . Each with it's own special pen (I just lije the way they write. They're not pretty). I use YouTube a lot, read recommended books or authors, Google a lot and learn daily.

I've been practicing on and off for more than 20 years... Coming back after a while, this is very helpful to reconnect❤ thank you.
  • Hi Ella! I've been watching you for a while and i'm soo happy you're making this series, can't wait for new videos! Btw i would love to see you talking about mental health and witchcraft in this series. Idk if that's something you feel you can cover, just a suggestion. I was thinking tips to make your practice accessible when you're struggling with mental illness (i could use some lol), how witchcraft can help in your life but also when it's time for professional help. I've been reading about witchraft for a 1,5 years and just recently did my first ritual. I guess i'm struggling with feeling i'm a fake, cuz i don't believe some things most witches do. I'm not drawn to spells, tarot or deities. For me it's more taking care of and doing things for my family and friends through hearth witchcraft, but not in a sense that "if i add this specific ingridient, this person will feel this specific way", it's more about the energy you give and just the act of caring. So idk if you can even call that witchcraft. Besides that i'm also interested in making natural remedies for mental and physical health issues, connecting more to nature and implementing parts of slavic folk culture and tradition into my life. I also feel some sort of connection to the moon. Sorry for this ling comment, i just needed to vent, don't expect you to answer

Hi Ella, I saw your book in a store today. I was looking for a different one but then saw yours & considered getting it, I still might, does it come in paper back? I couldn’t find it in store & looked online & didn’t see it there either. Hard backs are just so big & usually cost more. Thx ☺️
