$20,000 seems like a steal for what Optimus can do! I'm definitely interested.
  • @AsonLennox
The idea of customizing the personality and voice of Optimus is fascinating. I can't wait to see it in action!
  • @TajCrotty
The speed upgrade is crucial. Optimus needs to be faster to be truly useful.
  • @RyderMcKinlay
I can't believe how much progress Tesla has made. Optimus might actually be worth the investment.
  • I'm blown away by these updates! Tesla is really pushing the boundaries with Optimus.
  • Tesla's focus on improving the hands is smart. Precision tasks are what will set Optimus apart.
  • @daobarret
Im glad Tesla is continuing to innovate. Theyre really pushing the boundaries of whats possible with electric vehicles.
  • The new hands are impressive. Can they handle delicate tasks like pouring a drink without spilling? Precision is key for household tasks.
  • I mean... this thing is going to come with an ongoing maintenance contract, right? Machines with many moving parts inevitably start breaking down like a printer would. The initial 20k is just the beginning. You're gonna be calling up repair technicians for these things a lot. Ultimately, It might not be much cheaper than having an actual human take care of your house.

This is awesome for someone born in 1972. It just reminds me of the beginning of the terminator and what happens an optimist takes everyone’s jobs. What are we gonna do?
  • @TylerFinniss
The speed upgrade sounds great! Do you think it will be enough to compete with Boston Dynamics?
  • The customizable personality is a nice touch. Do you think it will really feel like a personal assistant?
  • I can’t wait! The future’s bright, the futures Tesla!

Im excited to see how the new Model Y will perform in real-world tests. Im hoping it lives up to the hype.
  • @RogerK9883
Two important things it has to be able to do. #1 hold my wife's purse at the mall. #2 being able to work on my 1969 Camaro. Rog

Im hoping Tesla will offer a good warranty on the new Model Y. I want to be sure my investment is protected.
  • The AI improvements are amazing. Do you think this will make Optimus better than other robots?
  • buying one of these would be a good investment, keep it in the box, and in a few years it will be worth a fortune

I think it is very smart that they shaped the head the way they did. They can project a digital face on that surface, that is very expressive (using Stable Diffusion AI kind of technology) thus avoiding all the pitfalls of engineering a realistic face using mechanical means. This alone would be a major selling feature for the optimus. It's a wild guess on my part, but that is what I'd do personally.
  • The idea of a customizable voice is cool. How long will it take to implement this feature?
